the rooms are very basic, bathrooms even not this. The breakfast is a joke for the price they charge. Service in the restaurant is awful and the food not worth the money. The hotel staff is trying to deliver a better service.

It used to be a lovely hotel with great food and good service. Ate there last night The dining room could do with being re decorated, the food average and the service terrible. the view is wonderful but over all not worth the money

We recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding as it came very well recommended, what a mistake! We booked a standard room which was the most expensive rate in the area and from the image gallery rooms looked modern, large with great balconies. When we arrived we were taken to room '19' which was off the car park and... More

Best Location, 80s Hotel, Great cuisine ! Very Pricey but so is everything around during high season. The rooms are basic to say the least, straight out of the 70/80s with bathrooms to match. So if you are into this retro feel-this is the place for you.

The hotel has amazing views and is the only one that directly overlooks the sea. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food in the hotel is very good. However, the food (breakfast and dinner) and drinks are incredibly expensive. You don't have to eat either there and there are plenty of local restaurants and bars. Not quite four... More

my husband and I have just had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at this lovely little hotel . we had a room with a large terrace over looking the water which was heavenly -our room was pleasant and yes there was a curtain dividing the bedroom from shower ,but that was part of the quaintness and -really the location... Firstly, this is absolutely NOT a four star hotel. This includes both the facilities and the staff, in particular the manager. We have been travelling in France for the past six weeks staying at a variety of hotel levels (3 star to 5 star) and this hotel was the worst by far. This is what we experienced and why we... More

A wonderful little hotel right on the waters edge with spectacular views across the bay of St Tropez and 10 minute stroll to the town centre. The rooms were clean and simple and the staff were all very helpful and accommodating. The only negative was the pricey breakfast (20€). We felt the room rate was good value given the setting... Of all the small hotels on the southern French coast, the setting of the Belle Aurore has to take a lot of beating - either from the restaurant or if you spend a little extra and get a room with sea view (almost pointless going here and not doing so). It truly has amazing views across the bay to St... More

I'm partially reluctant to write this review because I'm letting the secret out. When traveling to St. Tropez last year, we chose to stay in St. Maxime to save money. The decision was one of our best! While St. Tropez was touristy (the ferry is quite speedy and a short walk away), this hotel in St. Maxime was a highlight... More
