Excellent situation on the prom. All staff very friendly. Generally the hotel needs to be upgraded. This is ongoing. However, it did not effect our stay. Proximity to the airport excellent . €6 on the bus. Mighty service

I chose this hotel as it was a little cheaper than its neighbours (where I had stayed before), and as it was my birthday I chose the most expensive room, an executive suite. it was fabulous! from arrival the staff were so friendly, they had even decorated my door with joyeux anniversaire and balloons! the recently renovated 5th floor room... Billed as the only 3-star hotel on the sea front, this imposing hotel lived up to its good value pricing but had a real feel of fading elegance about it. The grand façade, revolving door, foyer and reception hall with chandeliers all promised more than the establishment could deliver; it helps if you speak reasonable French and don't want much... Having spent a week in Provence we had a few days in Nice and wanted a sea view, The Royal by comparison offers the cheapest sea view rooms in Nice whilst the price is not necessarily cheap the quality is. There is no room service, no beverage making facilities in the room and if you dare ask for something like... More

The hotel is very big.I booked a single room.Bathroom was clean and room was big enough for a solo traveller. The price was quite fair.Receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was very cold at night.Maybe it was too close to the beach. The location is fabulous.Tourist information office is nearby.I got some useful information there.

We booked a sea front room and were given a top floor room. The view was incredible. The balcony was small but very nice to sit and watch the traffic on the Promenade des Anglais. The room was recently refurbished and had very nice appointments a plenty of room to move around. The traffic noise was quite high with the... More

the good points , the staff were lovely, and the location is fab. what a disappointment, the hotel is undergoing refurbishment, so they should not use the rooms until done , but they do and charge the earth, The room was dark dirty and depressing, and the last guests dirty black tights ugh! and the bathroom was a joke, mouldy... We returned to this hotel due to it's superb location and they have rooms that open onto a terrace. The rooms have been refurbished since our stay 2 years ago & are large & nicely decorated. My only complaints are that I asked for a double bed & we got 2 singles & we were travelling with friends so I... More

We stayed for 12 nights in September 2013 in an Executive Double overlooking the sea. We had two balconies that were sufficient for one chair on each balcony. The room was clean, large with bathroom & toilet facilities that were very good. The staff wre very friendly & helpful. The hotel is in th process of upgrading its rooms so... More

The room was superb and large. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout.Fatima was a very good and efficient room maid. The view over the promenade from our balcony was awesome.
