Stayed at this hotel for three nights late April, really liked the location close to the Promenade des Anglais, shops, restaurants and walking distance to the train station. The staff were very helpful, and polite. The room was bright and clean, bathroom a bit small but over all no real problems. Liked this hotel would use it again.

This was our second time to stay at this hotel, it's a super hotel in a great location. Minutes from the beach. Right in the centre of fabulous restaurants. Staff are wonderful, we ll stay here again.

For a budget hotel the Solara is good, perfectly placed just of the Promenade des Anglais and a short walk from the old town. My single room was small but had a shower and a loo (careful not to bang your face on the sink when you sit down). If you're 'big' (20 stone plus) then don't stay here, you... More

Solara has a near perfect location and very comfortable rooms. Just make sure you check in by 9 PM. Excellent for families as well. We visited in the last week of December 2014 and found the hotel to be close and walking distance to EVERYTHING - attractions, restaurants, the beach, old Nice..... It is in the heart of Nice. And... I was quite happy to find a good base hotel in Nice. I stayed three nights and in overall my stay was ok. The hotel is just couple of minutes from the old town and beach front, it's about 15 minutes walk from the train station. The rooms are quite basic, but it does the job if you are not... More

It does almost everything it says on the tin (website) except that "panoramic" views from the fifth floor rooms actually means pleasant enough views to the attractive apartments across the street and down to the restaurants below. No problem....it's the proximity of a huge number of local restaurants, shops, the beach and the old town that make this a great... More

My room was quite small but clean and comfortable. The shower was tiny but worked fine for me with plenty of hot water. The mini fridge in the room was a nice bonus. What makes this hotel worth staying in would be the owner who goes out of his way to be helpful. The location is superb and the price... More

I spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. It is a small hotel (12 rooms) on the 4th and 5th floors of the building. Bars and restaurants are on the doorstep and the beach is one block away. It's a very basic hotel but if you just need a place to sleep while exploring the city it is perfect.... More

We stayed here for six nights while I had two conferences in Nice. It's on a pedestrianized street across the garden park from the Old City, and convenient to tram and buses to my meeting hotels and conference center. It's on the fourth floor of an older building which you access through outside and inside door codes. The elevator holds... More

Second time in hotel Solara and again really satisfied. The staff is excellent. The location great and the price phantastique. Just 2 blocks from the beach you pay only 105 €. You have to tell them in the evening, if you want to have breakfast. That costs 8 € extras, but coffee and croissants are good. And if you have... More
