4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2012 NEW

We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor, four flights up in a narrow stairway, with a tiny terrace overlooking the streets. The room was just large enough and decorated nicely. The bath was small as might be expected. The staff members were lovely, helping us find restaurants and get reservations. The wireless connection worked well enough. AC good.... More

We stayed two nights in a traditional room and one night in a superior room. Our stay was excellent. The rooms are interestingly furnished and extremely comfortable. The superior room had just been redecorated and it seemed as though other redecorations were in progress. The location is great, right in the old quarter. The staff were welcoming, cheerful, pleasant and... More

This hotel had very good reviews so we went. Service was very nice but the whole place is not so nice if you are even slightly claustrophobic or if you have allergies (walls are covered in cloth that is sometimes falling apart); or if you are a normal size adult person (or 2!). Location is excellent, staff is helpful, but... More

I was looking for a hotel with character in the old town of Nice, and this little hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were lovely: genuinely kind and welcoming, and always ready to help with travel information and suggestions. Breakfast was generous and healthful and prepared personally, in a nicely decorated reception room with additional café tables outside. The building... More

I accept that it is only two stars and that the prices are relatively low (for Nice) at around £75 for a standard double but I thought it felt a little neglected. Cleaning standards could be better. The most bizarre thing was a flimsy net curtain that offered no privacy from the apartments directly opposite. External noise was a problem... More

We chose the hotel as one of the few available in Old Town. The only room available was their most basic, and it was basic. Very small (even for France) and pretty shopworn -- in fact, the entire hotel feels shopworn on the way to shabby, but not quite shabby yet. The only window covering in our room was a... More

This hotel has some good points, and some nit so good. It was perfect for our needs though. Close to Old town for a stroll through, fantastic at night. The breakfast was plentiful and good value. It was sunny so we sat outside and had our coffee brought to us. The reception was excellent, a most pleasant experience. Information, maps,... More

We stayed here for three nights at the end of April 2012. Our room was very charming with a view out onto the front of the hotel and the terrific wine shop across the alley. This place is the heart of old town Nice--near Place Garibaldi, beautiful streets and alleys teeming with shops and activity, the Mediterranean, and a beautiful... More

We stayed for 4 nights in this small hotel, perfectly located in the old part of Nice, amongst the cobbled streets lined with shops and restaurants. The owner was very friendly, greeting us with a welcoming glass of wine and offering local advice whenever we asked for it. The room was situated on the 2nd floor, up a fairly narrow... More

Charming, friendly and welcoming and close to all the main sights, this is the place for romantics who like a bit of character and are not over-fussy. We were 3 flights up a narrow staircase in a small (but attractively decorated and en-suite) room but found it delightful. Breakfast is excellent and better value than the local cafes. Only downside... More
