Really good hotel if you are going to concentrate on the 'outer' part of your trip. Nice and helpful reception staff. Needs updating in terms of modernization but the accommodation was clean and tidy. Very close to the local restaurants, shops and, of course, to the sea front. I'd say a perfect location to stay at. Just to mention: when... More

Extremely well located, extremely good value for money taking into account the perfect location. The breakfast was very French: some bread & croissants with orange juice & hot drink: Do not expect a full English breakfast (as some of my British chums did!!). The rooms are small, the bathrooms extremely small with small showers cubicles. However the hotel and the... More

Not genuinely pleased with our stay in the hotel, or if you call it a hotel that is. Wasn’t pleased with the wi-fi dropping out too often, the lift was very small and cramped, and don’t get me started on our ensuite bathroom. No ventilation so everywhere was wet, the bathroom was really cramped and small, and late at night... More

Unpretentious, simple accommodation. Compared to other places, this hotel is quite inexpensive. But...it is very, very good though! The location is excellent right in the centre of Nice, a few steps from the old town (Vieux Nice) but at the same time within a stone's throw from the main shopping drag. Very kind and helpful staff to top it off...and... More

I stayed here in September with my mother and cousin from Texas. The location is absolutely excellent, a short walk to the beach or the old town and the Place Massena is just a few minutes walk away. The airport bus 98 drops off and picks up nearby too. The building is very old and charming and my cousin thought... More

This hotel is very basic but in a really good location. Our room was number 44 & I would not recommend this room unless you are travelling on your own. Although it has a double bed it was really cramped. Breakfast was basic but adequate. This hotel is very near the town shops, the market, the sea & near lots... More

Overall, a very good hotel. Close to the beach (10 min. walk) and market. The room was initially small and we couldn't move about so they kindly gave us another room with a balcony. Much bigger and nicer. Clean room. Helpful and kind multilingual staff, especially in getting around (directions/bus/train). No problems whatsoever. The wifi was a bit spotty. Not... More

You will not find a better located hotel in Nice for this budget, rooms are a tad small, old and dated but who cares? Hotel is really easy to find, close to the beach, dining and shopping districts. The staff where welcoming and very helpful. We did not choose the breakfast option but it looked to be the standard croissant,... More

we stayed for 4 nights in the Acanthe hotel. It is an old, charming building (Parisian style) Located near the Place Massena, 50m from the busstop to/from the airport. Small rooms, but very clean. Tiny bathroom but also fresh and clean. Spic & span bedlinnen and towel (ever to take to the beach). No airco, but we used the fan.... More
