We stayed September and a part of hotel was renovated and redecorated. It is an old villa, but also very attractive. The breakfast in the garden of the hotel was a good experience. We loved it and would stay again.

We stayed here last November and didn't hesitate to book again. Like last year our room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The new owners are giving the hotel the renovation that the beautiful building deserves and when finished the hotel will be a real gem. The location makes it ideal for walking round Nice. Having breakfast in the garden in... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights during our trip around Europe. After the previous accommodation being in a miniscule room, we were thrilled by the size of the rooms at this hotel! I suspect that sometime during the 60s this would have been a spectacular hotel, but it is now looking a little old and tired. Having... More

I have given the hotel a four out of five rating not so much because it's "very good" but because of what it could become with a new owner (recently) and her plans for renovation. It will be an absolute gem if done nicely because it has the potential. It's badly in need of renovation but in spite of this... More

After driving down to Nice and staying in a Chalet in the mountains, we arrived for a five night stay in Nice at the Armenonville. We chose for the good prices and the locked car park (Nice is notorious for dented cars!) and we were not disappointed. What a beautiful hotel! We were thrilled with our choice and really made... My husband and I just stayed at this hotel for 5 days. Initially when we first arrived the place was not quite what we expected--the linens were worn and the place is a bit run down and in need of some TLC. But we were so tired after a long trip we didn't care. After our first night we decided... More

Tucked away off the street, may be hard to find. It does have a sign on the street though. Security gate and security front door they give you a code for. Quad room (#22) was large, overlooking the garden. Bathroom was small but adequate. Located 15 minute walk from the train station, only 4 blocks from the beach. Location was... More

Chose this hotel over some of the chains after reading the reviews. The place needs a little TLC but the room was clean - had room 25 which has air conditioning. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, didn't try the breakfast as thought 12 € each was a little steep. Location wise it is excellent away from road so... More

We recently spent two nights at the hotel before returning to Australia after a long trip through Europe. I read the reviews during the week before we arrived and thought that the last review, which was not positive, was unusual. Having stayed there, I wish I had paid more attention to that review. New owners took over recently. It appears... More

Maybe our expectations are too high but the mould in the shower, no handsoap and 2 seperate beds when we booked a double bed along with rooms with little character made this a stay we were keen to forget. Pros: Friendly welcome, iron when requested, free car parking, room generally clean. We wouldn't stay again.
