We stayed 5 days at this hotel with my wife. Our room number was 202 and it was as good as a 5 star hotel room(except it doesnt have a minibar which normally i don't use.).It was roomy, had a flat screen, balcony, free wireless internet. It's location is actually good,it's 7 min walk away from the train station,1 min to Medecin Av. which is... more

Hotel de Madrid is a boutique hotel in the heart of Nice – and, part of the Best Western chain of hotels. For travelers looking for lodging – and aren’t quite keen on breaking the bank (accommodation in Nice isn’t the cheapest) – Hotel de Madrid is a good choice for several reasons. Location- situated off one of the main... more

I never stayed in a room so small. I swear this must have been a converted closet. When I asked the front desk, they told me they only had one hotel room like this and that the rest of the rooms were beautiful. I asked why I got stuck with it and they told me because it was the price... more

I don't have anything bad to say about this hotel, the staff where more than helpfull, the rooms where lovely yes the shower is tiny as i read other guests complained about so you do need to be of an average size,ok the internet connection was pretty bad undue stress, so if you need to use your laptop,it will drive you... more

The rooms were perfectly functional and decorated in a minimalist fashion. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful with all our requests. The breakfast at the hotel is served till 10.30 but the lady on duty while we were there took exception to us coming down at 10!!! It is so central, with the main train station literally 5 minutes... more

Reserved a twin bedded room. Upon arrival, none was available. Got a tiny double room with a bathroom so small that there wasn't room to bend over to dry your feet. When using the toilet, your legs were under the sink. The window opened to an interior courtyard with lots of trash. The walls of the room were beat up.... more

Have read the past reviews for this hotel and i have to disagree with all of them, i didn't encounter any of the problems mention at all. The front staff was really nice and very helpful, they went out their way to assist us in all the time we were there. The tram is just 2 mins away for those... more

This hotel was ok, but it was shabby, first room we had was horrible so we moved. Next room was average at best. Slightly grotty area too. Would not stay there again. more

Overall we were not terribly impressed with this hotel. As a Best Western I expect a certain level of cleanliness that just wasn't apparent at this hotel. Our guest room looked as though the floor hadn't been cleaned in a very long time and I made my family members wear their shoes. The bathroom had mold in the shower and... more

We booked this as a last min 2 night break due to our original trip to Istanbul being cancelled due to the closure of the airport because of the snow. We have stayed in many different places all around the world and all we basically expect is that the place is clean! Pro The hotel is really well located for... more
