Good location, literally on the main shopping street, short walking distance to Gare Nice Ville, surrounded by restaurant - lots of halal kebab places, and cafe. The surrounding is not the most pleasant area. I would say it is a typical big city environment, quite noisy as people of staying outside, chatting into midnight, the entrance is quite dark and... The first night we were awakened at 3:30 am by a lady banging on our room door. This continued every hour until 7am even though we told her to go away. When we talked to the staff they said oh that's the one eyed crazy lady that lives in the building. ( apparently the lock to the hostel does not... More

Stay here if you are really desperate. Rooms are filthy, we made them change the sheets on arrival, bathroom poorly cleaned, mice running into room at night, bathroom light broke which wasn't fixed for a whole day. Entrance downstairs absolutely disgusting - smells of a urinal, cigarette butts everywhere, broken beer bottles, needles from druggies. Need i say anymore? Staff... More

Staff were rude, hard to find although it is close to the train station, there are only two toilets for the whole hostel and they don't have sinks so you have to go to the kitchen or back to your room to wash your hands. The room i was in was very cramped, 6 beds and it was bunks with... More

I stayed in Nice for about a week, and booked my accommodation online in advance. It's always hard to tell what a hostel's like by pictures, so I thought I would book two different hostels to be on the safe side, just in case one of them turned out to be awful, at least I wouldn't be committed to spending... The rooms are pretty gross, even for a hostel. There are only two toilets in the hall, both of which were filthy and came with automatic lights that would switch off after a very short period of time and you'd have to actually walk over to the light switch to turn it back on. We were originally staying at Altair... More

Apart from having no air conditioning which is expected when you pay 86 Euro for two beds it was okay. The room itself was tiny and had 1 shower per 4 people. The shower was for the smallest of people and you could never pick the soap up if you drop it in there. The room was Hot and the... More

A short walk from the train station is a real plus here. Beds are functional, the usual aluminium frame bunk beds, you'll pay a euro for linen ... there's two flights of stairs, no elevator, sucks if you have luggage ... if you are only staying 1 or 2 nights, its ok, but for more than 2 nights, its way...
