I almost feel like I'm staying in a different hotel to the one described by the other reviewers, unfortunately this is not the case. Possibly different rooms are different, however this doesn't explain the complete miss in expectations of this hotel. Our room has at least 30 year old carpet, with patches and repairs. The furniture is old and dated... More

This was a wonderful hotel and played a huge part in our enjoyment of our first visit to Nice . Cimiez is a beautiful residential district full of charm and peace in a bustling city . From our arrival where we were met by the most charming Patrick and throughout the following week we were treated with utmost care and... More

This is a little gem of a hotel. There may be a small walk up hill, about 10 mins but what you find is worth it. We had garden rooms which gave us a seated area outside, a real treat to sit in the warm sun as the area gets the early morning and evening sunshine. The rooms are lovely,... More

This hotel is perfect. On the hill overlooking Nice, it benefits from great views and peace and quiet. It's a 10 minute walk to the centre of town (probably you can do it faster but I'm 6 months pregnant). The surrounding residential area is a paradise of majestic buildings and steep winding roads. The nearest boulangerie and supermarket is 7... More

First of all, this hotel is perfectly located, on the heights of Nice. The rooms are very comfortable, cozy and very quiet. The staff was wonderful and helpful. A bit expensive - especially the breakfast - but that's the way it is, especially in this area, and we went to other places which were more pricy without offering the same... More

I agree with other reviewers that this is a very nice hotel in a quiet residential area. The staff are very pleasant & helpful. The rooms are comfortable, pleasantly decorated & have good views across the city rooftops to the distant sea beyond. The breakfast buffet is also very good. But (and it’s a big but for me) it’s a... Isn't it wonderful when you discover a small boutique hotel that feels so comfortable, that you want to keep it your little secret? Petit Palais in Nice, France, is that place. It is a few steps up the hill, but a world away from the hustle of the town. The spacious and comfortable rooms offer wonderful views over the city... More

We stayed for 6 nights in the Petit Palais and found it very pleasant. Being located a little bit uphill from the very centre, it offers splendid views and quiet nights - no traffic noise. Don't let the short uphill walk put you off: I needed 6 mins for that climb. The hotel actually is quite central. The staff was... More

We originally stayed in this hotel after our stay in an apartment was cancelled at the last minute (that's a nightmare story!) by the owner. Scrambling to look for a reasonable place to stay in August in Nice for a family of four is not easy. Luckily we were able to get rooms in the Petit Palais. Right from the... More
