This is a good value for money in an excellent location especially with the tram line stop, a hop, skip and jump away. Rooms are very small but adequate if you are not planning to spend a lot of time in the room. Bathrooms are renovated and good. Apart from the friendly and helpful staff, the location is great if... more

For a bugdet hotel we found it was fine for our needs. somewhere to sleep, shower and have breakfast. The staff were all pleasent, the breakfast facillities were ok, rooms were ok, they had a bed with ensuite in same room, decor was okay, no peeling wallpaper! What do you want from a 2 star hotel? it is fine for... more

The staff was pleasant, but overall it was not a very satisfying experience. If I was 15 years younger and backpacking with a girlfriend or buddies, it would be a good choice. As a mature adult traveling with my wife it was rather disappointing. The rooms were like dorm/hostel rooms, and looked like they were decorated 20+ years ago. It... more

The basic requirement for any hotel is to be clean and to provide at least a basic need, a safe place to sleep, a safe shelter. This hotel has none.. It is dirty and the floor board made terrible noise when you walk on it. I heard the floor board noise from upstairs, next doors...not because of the other travellers,... more

Having read the previous reviews we were confident that the hotel was OK and our visit confirmed that this is a budget hotel that tries very hard to meet and exceed your expectations. The staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient - a bit too much in providing a written sheet setting out the 'rules' - including the fact thet you... more

The problem with Nice is that all the hotels are terribly expensive. One ends up paying the same price as a decent 3 or 4* hotel anywhere else in Europe, but all you can get is a crumby 2* hotel. And the locals know it. The price you pay for this hotel is a rip-off, however it is one of... more

Stay was pretty good. We decided to stay an extra night there because there was no night train to Paris. Rooms were clean. Not very spacious but not squeezy either. The female receptionists were very friendly and helpful. However, the male receptionist did not speak much english and wasn't very friendly either. Location of the hotel is good. 15 min... more

For the price we paid we were not expecting much but it was a good experience we stayed for 7 days and had no cause for complaint. Quirky room layouts (we had a choice of several) and the bath in our ensuite was very short but fine as a shower tray. Everything worked - the rooms were clean and functional... more

We stayed in Nice for one night having arrived by train from Paris. Our first impression was not good. We had booked adjoining rooms but this was unable to be granted. Instead we had a quad room. The decor was questionable, the walls of the rooms had small wooden squares attached. The beds looked a bit like sun lounges and... more
