Good location for the old city, Nice Ville central station, flower and vegetable market, Nice Toile shopping precinct, and coastal promenading. Generally the hotel was a pretty good standard. Free and fast wifi, but no satellite TV or English speaking channels. Our room on the top floor (Rm 51) had been recently renovated and was pretty spacious and nicely refurbished,... More

The hotel is in a good location 4 blocks back from the beach. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean, though on a small side. Although there is no restaurant in hotel, there is a co-located outside.

So I stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 nights at the end of August... Let's start with the positive. - ok location to the old town which is lovely but a 15 minute walk away, the beach is about 8 minutes - bedding and towels all clean along with the room - quiet rooms with good air conditioning The... I must say that we only took this hotel since it was the cheapest during the time beginning of August. The rating was actually very good apparently but I must say that this is hardly a 3 star. In general Nice is very expensive and does not offer the best - we did a day trip to Antibes at least... More

Stayed here in May 2014. The room wasn't the best but it wasn't so bad that it couldn't be stayed in and at the end of the day it's just somewhere to sleep. The hotel is undergoing a refurb and so some of it is a little dated and run down. The air con in our room didn't seem to... More

Everything about is hotel is a lie, everything on every website shows that the room are good quality but only the top floor is refurbished, absolutely disgraceful. Me and my family booked a triple room on their website. We are an asmatic family and we wanted a wooden floor and weren't told exactly what we were getting, a smelly old... More

Our room on the 3rd floor, hadn't been refurbished. The room definately needs an upgrade. It was clean enough and we had a balcony, (although a pity there's no chairs to sit on out on the balcony!) We had a safe, tea making facilities, hot water, but the shower was over an old chipped bath with mouldy sealant around it.... More

We stayed three nights in "La Malmaison" and we booked one of the deluxe double rooms with twin beds. As we entered the room we could'nt find any twin beds but the room was really nice equipped: A jacuzzi with changing colors, a spacious balcony, a television (unfortunately only with french television) and a minibar. The doors of the bathroom... More

Average hotel, didn't like the no shower head thing. Taking a bath was awkward. Using the shower head was awkward. Staff were ok. The location was ok, not too far from the old town and promenade. The hotel was clean and we had a nice balcony and renovated room. No safe which was disappointing.

Arrived before check in but Stanislas (very friendly and efficient) quickly located a room for us.Room 23 was large with double aspect opening windows. However the air con was very efficient.Windows had electronic shutters which shut all the light out for sleeping.Fridge in room.Shower in bath was surprisingly powerful.Bed large and comfortable.Clean.Double glazing good so no outside noise.Location 10 mins walk...
