All up experience was a great one and would recommend to others. We chose this hotel though trip advisor reviews and previous use of the hotel chain. Used www.lastminute.ie to book. We followed a little of what the Cara magazine that was on our flight with Aerlingus had advertised on places to see. Our first trip to Nice, and was... more

On the promenade, next door to The Opera House, almost in the Flower Market and Old Town......where could be better ! Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Overlooking promenade, with balcony cost us €147 per room. Side rooms are much cheaper. Mercure benefits apply. We, ie aparty of 6 have been at least 5 times and would not stay elsewhere.... more

good-day everyone! i came to Nice to study but first arrived with my mom to settle things down(registration,house-seeking,etc)..we stayed at this hotel for 7nights. i think the hotel doesnt give value to the money : it was high season, the night was a lil more than 200euros/night (no breakfast included)..but they dont offer any special services: NO SWIMMING POOL,the rooms... more

The Mercure Marché aux Fleurs will appeal to travelers who like small, intimate, few-frills, reasonably priced hotels in great locations. "Chaleureux" is the word that comes to mind for the warmth and personal attention shown us by the staff. As others have noted, the rooms are small, rather like ships' cabins, though there are more spacious rooms available with gorgeous... more

I stayed here as part of a Rick Steves tour and the location was perfect. When you step out the door you are on the Promenade Anglais and the Med is just in front of you. Around the corner is the Cours Saleya/market street and old Town. Great location for exploring the Old Town. The room was contemporary and clean.... more

Though the hotel was clean and modern, I would not recommend staying at the Mercure because the receptionist staff was very unprofessional. When I checked -in to the hotel, I was told by the man working at the desk that breakfast was not included in the room rate. However, upon checking out, I was charged $197 additional dollars for the... more

My friend and I stayed here for six nights and had a great time there. Our room was one of the larger rooms; we could see that on the hotel plan on the room door. So no complaints there! Our only laugh about the beds were that they were so close together we might as well have been in the... more

The Mercure Nice Marche aux Fleurs is situated just across the promenade from the beach, with para-sailing and trampoline nearby. Around the corner, the old city and the flower market, which offers something terrific every day. Information on the hotel didn't mention lack of elevators, spiral staircases to navigate with luggage, and inconsistent air conditioning. Most staff persons warm, knowledgeable,... more

Have just returned from Nice, where we spent three nights at the Marche aux Fleurs. Admittedly, Nice is expensive at the best of times and so even though we paid £80 a night we weren't expecting luxury. On the plus side: * The hotel is in a superb location - right on the sea front and next door to the... more

We stayed at the Mercure for five nights in June 2008. We booked our room directly on the hotel website. There was a problem with the booking process and when we immediately called the hotel about the problem, the hotel staff were completely unhelpful. This unhelpfulness was a constant problem during our stay. We had notified the hotel that we... more
