The location of this hotel is wonderful. The rooms are small but it is an older building. Note that there is no elevator, so you have to haul your luggage up to your room (not the worst thing that can happen, but if you don't want to do this, you might need to consider somewhere else). The hotel is right... More

The location is perfect, close to the street with many restaurants, it is on the main road by the sea. Some rooms have sea view, we were a group of 11, booked 6 rooms, they said they have upgraded some rooms, some rooms had seaview, some rooms (like mine) were not a 4 star hotel room, the bed was upstairs... We were in Nice during Carnival time and glad that we chose this hotel to stay. We got a sea view room at the ground floor. The entry was through the reception. We did not have tickets for the carnival so we could not stand at the road. But we saw the carnival from our room and were very happy.... More

Having logged on to write our review on the hotel our comments seem to replicate the previous posting. We were also given a Mezzanine room, which being 60+ was totally unsuitable for our requirements. To compound the problem, the room was unbearably hot not helped by the air-conditioning only blowing hot air as it was still set for "winter" despite... More

Great location and lovely staff . However rooms are not to a 4 star standard. Once we'd climbed the staircase to Reception (no banister ) we were directed to a 'mezzanine' room (step down into room with some steps up to bed area ). As over 70s, impossible ! Staff moved us up to a 2nd floor bedroom (no lift!).... More

The hotel is small but very functional. In best location . Close to markets restaurants and of course the beach. We had a front room , though forgot to ask for one with balcony, but as it was march and cold didn't matter . They have a lovely bar area to which we spent a lot time. The staff were... More

The hotel is extremely well located for the old Town as literally behind the main square but facing the sea. The hotel in itself is not really a 4 stars (unless you have a seaview/luxury room...) in my view. They were doing refurbs that week (Carnaval week...not well chosen...) and apart from the mess at reception, we got the water... More

Dear SE6girl, Thank you for your comment after a stay in the Mercure Marché Aux Fleurs. The hotel has an exceptional location at the heart of the old town and the main events to welcome you and make you discover our customs. All our rooms are different, certain have step, others have duplex and some have sea view. The surface... More

Obviously, the first thing to say is that the location of this hotel is excellent, on the seafront and next to the Cours Saleya and the old town. That the location was compromised by the carnival seating during our stay is not the fault of the hotel. Second, the staff are outstandingly excellent (hyperbole, sorry): very helpful and informative as... More

Location was brilliant - that's the only positive I can think of. Arriving in a car is a nightmare had to pay 21 euro and drag cases in rain back to hotel from public car park. Extensive works being carried out - no bar so ordered wine to room - only had ONE choice of white wine in hotel and... More
