If you are going to Nice don't stay at this hotel! When we got there the hotel had lost our booking. They said they had the email from Lastminute.com but had given our room to someone else. We waited around for over an hour when they suddenly found us a very basic room - not what we had booked at... more

Nice hotel and nice staff but a few problems including not getting our safe working for a whole week we were there, having to make do with 2 towels between 2 of us most days and all the power going off for a couple of hours but generally they dealt with things well and we friendly. I had boooked and prepaid a standard double room with breakfast for six nights. The check in fast and polite, found the room a bit small but the main drawback was the almost nonexistent warm water pressure during the whole stay. The room was cheap but when you add the cost of a taxi to or from the airport the place becomes expensive. Next time I would stay in one of the hotels at the airport or take the bus into center Nice and stay at the Nouvel or similar 2 star hotel. You could take a bus to the hotel... more

The Anis is a newly renovated three star hotel about a kilometre from Nice airport. If you wanted a quiet base to explore the area with a car it would be fine. On foot it is okay, if you don`t mind an eight minute walk to the bus stop on Promenade des Anglais, including a rather risky steep downhill part.... more

Was there for 4 days in August 2003 for honeymoon. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, great restaurant. Beautiful garden at the entrance, great parking space. We used to come back very often around 2am (since we were visiting family and friends) and the doorman was always available. Only downside is that our bath used to leak very often. We booked this hotel online and were not disappointed. It was very nice clean,quiet and a little walk to the beach. About 10 minutes downhill through old Spanish area in France. It was really French. Got to know the chef and his wife and really enjoyed the cuisine.. Roast rabbit and duck and lamb all great. They were really helpful... more
