Having booked the hotel last minute, we were concerned after reading some peoples reviews, but in our opinion we didnt find these to be true. The breakfast was excellent, especially sitting out on the sunny terrace every morning to eat it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke good english. The locaction was far better than expected, in... more

Just come back from a stay in the South of France and booked Hotel Ellington though last minute.com for three nights. It was listed as a 4star so as a result we felt that it should be quite nice. Before arriving I checked the hotel webpage and it looked lovely. On arrival the outside of the hotel looked good and... more

Small boutique sized hotel. Rooms are small but have free wi-fi, air conditioning, fridge and close to everything. There is a laundromat at the back of the hotel. Breakfasts were good. Would recommend it for location and price, although the rooms are a liittle disappointing and housekeeping could be improved! more

BOOKED BY BIG TOUR GROUPS : very poor quality of service and comfort for what you pay as an individual customer ; My room was extremelly small On top , a lot a early morning noise in the corridors due the departure of those people.. And most of the time , difficult to get a seat in the breakfast room... more

The location of this hotel is very good - walking distance to almost anywhere within the city. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. To be constructively critical I would suggest a list of local resturants to help choose from (Le Cosy two streets down Rue Alberti is superb) would help. Ask for... more

Stayed here with my wife for 3 nights from 19th - 22nd March. Had done a bit of research on this and some other sites so thought I knew what to expect.....4 star, good location, smallish rooms and not bad value at the £280 or so I paid through Hotels.com to include breakfast, and the third night 'free'. Initial impressions... more

I decided to stay at the Hotel Ellington based on what appeared to be a convenient location for Carnival events (my primary purpose for visiting Nice) and a deal I found where I was able to stay 4 nights for the price of three. The hotel was far beyond what I'd expected: the staff were very helpful in giving directions... more

Pleasant hotel with very helpful, friendly staff. Suggest you ask for an upgrade as even the 'superior' rooms not very large but you do get a little balcony. Bar very quiet (i.e deserted) in the evenings. Good location as an easy stroll to the shops and (a little further) to the Place Massene and the Promenade des Anglais. If staying... more
