I'm not sure what all the complaints are about for this hotel. We went to Menton for a week for a family wedding in Monaco the rest of the family stayed in various hotels around Menton and this hotel by far was the best of them all. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly both reception staff and cleaners (although... More

Very bad hotel except receptionist Silvia!!! 1.First of all, i have to complain about absence of blinds in the room considering the fact that the room which was offered to us was lighted by the hotel luminous sign. I had to use the bed cover to construct the blinds because the hotel sign was throwing light inside the room and... More

It is the ugliest building in the street (which was otherwise lovely and conveniently located). But on the inside it looks clean and well maintained. The train station and beach are nearby and so is the old town with nice little shops and restaurants. The bath was very comfortable.

Not sure what people are complaining about!? Keep in mind we stayed on 3rd floor facing Garden, knew what we were going to do and where we were going, and enjoy interaction with local staff. Although it was busy on street during day, it was quiet at night, with nice flowers to look at, local activity to watch, mountains in... More

This hotel should have a lot going for it, such as its central location within the town, a Mediterranean climate, large and comfortably refurbished bedrooms, and now being part of a large, French hotel group. And there are discounted deals to be had, too. The bathrooms are a little strange, admittedly, as can be grasped from other reviews and photos,... More

We came in with two Spaniels, no problem. Great location, 100 mtr. from the beach. Parking in front. Shopping around the corner. 10 minutes from the old fishing port, restaurants everywhere. Big rooms, nice beds for French standards...normally it's bad. Balconny. In the heart of Menton. 50 mtrs from Casino. Very friendly staff. Just Visit !

We have stayed in this hotel five years ago and an attempt has been made to refurbish the bedrooms and bathrooms. There is still work to do - the fridge door was loose together with the cupboard door housing the fridge was dropping off. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the public areas which are looking very tired and... More

I stayed here recently in a twin room. The stay was ok, not the best I must admit. First of all the lady on reception was a bit rude when we asked for help on a couple of things, such as wifi. Yes she did help us, but the attitude wasn't needed. The room was very big but outdated and... More

We enjoyed a one-night stop over at The Chambord following Chelsea's defeat in the super-cup in Monaco! The hotel is within an easy, straight-forward 5 minute walk of the train station. It is ideally situated for commuting to Monte Carlo (10 mins) or NIce. This independent hotel offers a very warm welcome, with friendly staff. We had a 'basic double... More

We had a week here at the end of 5 weeks through France and Spain at the end of July 2012. There wasnt a lot to choose from by the time we booked but we got lucky with the Chambord. It is a basic hotel, but the room was large and clean with a balcony with table and chairs. And... More
