My room was on the 3rd floor, facing the back and sure enough there seemed to be cars permanently out the back so opening the double window (no balcony) provided air but also noise., The bathroom was OK and each night I had to move the bed away from the wall. Not very large room, but this is not uncommon for hotels in this price range in France. Comparing to the Hotel Mondial in Cannes where I also stayed, this hotel has smaller rooms, but also approx. 30% cheaper if you get a good rate. Was in Cannes for a day trip with some friends and decided to stay overnight. We walked in off the street and booked. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very reasonable rates. Room on small size but very clean and ideal for short stay.Located on main shopping street (Rue d'Antibes) and a very short walk to bars and restaurants. more

I went to cannes for 4days with a group of friends, the univers hotel was central for everything! It is situated on the main shopping street, which was ideal, and it is only 1minute from the beach!
