Went there 4 nights in september. Good location. The hotel has been reniewed recently. Was in the deluxe suite (the ones with a jacuzzi), big room, huge terrace facing the sea. Very good service. Just back from a 3 night stay at Le Grand Hotel and have to say that the service and general customer experience was terrible. The staff at the beach club were only interested in having fun and socialising, never checking if anyone wanted to make an order for food or drinks. Also, there was a lot of confusion at reception.... more

Hotel was tucked back from the beach, beautiful location, large room, excellent staff. Wish I had more time to enjoy the hotel and wait out the rain (umbrella provided). I heartily recommend dinner at Gaston Gastounette, a bit of a walk down the beach. more

Don't be misled by the name. If you expect one of the "grand dames" from the Victorian era then be prepared for a shock - those days, and the hotel that once stood on the site, have long gone. the asset is a little 'tired' but location cannot be beat and it has parking. typical cannes bs about ripping you off on beach fees but probably closest nice hotel to the public beach. staff not friendly but competent and room/furnishings nice. at 1/3 the price of martinez & carlton, you more than get what you pay for more

The Grand Hotel Cannes is perfectly located in the middle of the famous Croisette and offers amazing views on the Mediterranean sea. The hotel is the only one offering a private garden with palm trees that keeps away the noise from the Croisette. The Hotel has been fully renovated in a modern 70's style, really nice. We called directly after looking at the website and tried to get the Expedia price and possibly anything better and we did; continental French breakfasts, a room with a balcony overlooking the sea.
