We stayed twice in this hotel - in June 2007 and in June 2009. First time was a 3-nights holiday and the second a one-night stop-over. Both times we booked the smallest (10m2) room at the back, as it was the cheapest one. In 2009 however we got upgraded without extra cost to a bigger room. The tiny room was... more

We really enjoyed our visit. The service was excellent and as we were travelling with children, we were particularly pleased with the way they were welcomed and indulged. the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the location very central but nonetheless very quiet and the breakfast of a high standard. We would recommend this hotel highly. more

First let's talk position, For a quiet stay, Beaulieu is the place. Like a little country town along the water. It is only 15 min drive from Nice towards Monte Carlo, and it is worth staying that short distance out rather than staying in Nice. The hotel was pleasent but does require a renovation. Older style rooms, however a great... more

Lovely little hotel, just back from the beach in a perfect location. This area was recommended to my husband and I and I booked this hotel rather last minute, we managed to get the last available room and for £100 per night I thought this was a bargain compared to some of the luxury hotels in the area. Our hotel... more

Excellent!! This was our second year staying at the Carlton and I was delighted we went back. This hotel is the sort of place you go to relax and get off the rat race that can be the Riveria sometimes. However if you want to go anywhere along the coast the 100 bus is a 30 second walk and the... more

This hotel was a huge disappointment. When we arrived we struggled with our bags to get them into the hotel with no assistance from the front desk staff. There was no parking at the hotel, and the street outside is strictly patrolled by parking attendants. The superior double room we reserved was shabby with horrific orange curtains. The carpet looked... more

As regular visitors to Beaulieu-sur-Mer we were disappointed to find that two of our regular hotels, The Mercure and Residence Eiffel have closed and are to be converted into appartments. However having spent a week at Hotel Carlton we are delighted to have found a 'new home' in Beaulieu. The hotel offers clean airy rooms, decorated in a traditional style,... more

We stayed at Quality Hotel Carlton for 2 nights. First, the staff is exceptionally helpful. All who we talked to were friendly and nice to us, and offered advice/help about things to do/see in town. Our room was nice, had a decent view (there's no direct sea view, mostly obstructed by trees and such). Problem was noise - we didn't... more

If you're traveling to Monte Carlo but aren't interested in paying over $300 per night for a hotel room this little hotel can't be beat. The town is quiet but it's conveniently connected to Monte Carlo/Nice/Cannes by train for a tiny ticket price. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were satisfactory. Nothing was too flashy however, but if... more
