We checked in and went shown our room, which had a pool of water on top of the bed and also the floor. We left after telling the owner we would not stay there, upon which he started screaming at us in French that we had to pay for the room (and the other nights we had reserved). The place... More

I travel a lot and I usually read reviews before booking. Not this time. It was late on September 2, I had to stop for the night and it turned to be quite and experience. This is a small (beautiful) village and you dont have a lot of options in terms of accommodations. Dont get fooled by the price on... More

Arrived late into CNDP needing a place to stay for the night and could only find this hotel in this sleepy little town. They only had one superior room and we were initially pleased to find somewhere to stay. The room was incredibly old fashioned, the air con was broken (fortunately the Mistral was blowing!) there was no shower curtain... More

The reviews about this hotel are quite mixed but we found it to be very welcoming and quite comfortable. It is extremely well located and has very good secure parking close by. The room we had looked over the street and although there was some street noise this is really just a village and it is hard to imagine that... More

If management had been friendly (it was difficult to get even a smile from the owner!) & showed some customer service skills certain things could be overlooked! For example, the shower curtain was way too long so you were standing on it, also there was no holder for the shower spray so you had to hold it up whilst showering!... More

Friendly and welcoming hotel and moderately priced, but in need of some repairs and renovations. There was a bath, but no shower curtain and the lever changing the water from taps to shower was neither fully on nor fully off. Sitting in the bath therefore without getting your knees scalded (taps in the middle of the bath) was difficult. I... More

Before your read this review and take the rating for granted, please see the hotels I normally stay at... To me this is the place to stay in Chateauneuf (have stayed here four times). There is nothing fancy about it and you shall not ecpect romance and charme. What you get is a decent hotel with a great location and... More

Old village hotel which should have oozed with charm. My 72 year old husband and I were placed on the top floor - no lift with heavy bags to carry. The reception was hardly ever manned. We were told we could only have demi-pension. The first night and second night were identical main courses and deserts with no choice whatsoever... More

We stayed one night, 2 couples in 2 different rooms - our room was on the 1st floor facing the back and we were not disturbed. Our travelling companions had a room facing the main street and were awoken by the chatty fellows collecting the garbage in the wee hours of the morning. The rooms were clean, and nicely decorated.... More

We only stayed here one night but it was perfect for wine tasting. The hotel served a very nice breakfast and dinner. The rooms were not plush but pleasant, comfortable and quiet. The town is small and this little hotel was centrally located on a cute narrow street. Definitely worth the value.
