We were staying at the Espace De L'Hers and, late afternoon I asked the owner where she could recommend for dinner in the nearby Chateauneuf-Du-Pape later that evening. She immediately proposed her mother's restaurant, La Garbure, in the hotel of the same name and asked if she should reserve me a table there. On agreeing I then returned to our... More

A typical French family hotel, not comparable with modern and redecorated large chain hotels. It has all the advantages you can expect in a sleepy touristic [wine] village as CNDP. The room and bathroom was rather large for a French hotel. The combination of a nights stay €76 with diner, breakfast and secure parking place + €76 was a good... More

Don't stay here. The Owner of the hotel screamed at us as we were trying to settle the bill upon leaving; she had tried to overcharge us for breakfast that we did not have. When I questioned her, she completely lost her temper and walked off, very unprofessional. I was left to pay with a more junior staff member who... More

We checked in and went shown our room, which had a pool of water on top of the bed and also the floor. We left after telling the owner we would not stay there, upon which he started screaming at us in French that we had to pay for the room (and the other nights we had reserved). The place... More

I travel a lot and I usually read reviews before booking. Not this time. It was late on September 2, I had to stop for the night and it turned to be quite and experience. This is a small (beautiful) village and you dont have a lot of options in terms of accommodations. Dont get fooled by the price on... More

Arrived late into CNDP needing a place to stay for the night and could only find this hotel in this sleepy little town. They only had one superior room and we were initially pleased to find somewhere to stay. The room was incredibly old fashioned, the air con was broken (fortunately the Mistral was blowing!) there was no shower curtain... More

The reviews about this hotel are quite mixed but we found it to be very welcoming and quite comfortable. It is extremely well located and has very good secure parking close by. The room we had looked over the street and although there was some street noise this is really just a village and it is hard to imagine that... More

If management had been friendly (it was difficult to get even a smile from the owner!) & showed some customer service skills certain things could be overlooked! For example, the shower curtain was way too long so you were standing on it, also there was no holder for the shower spray so you had to hold it up whilst showering!... More

Friendly and welcoming hotel and moderately priced, but in need of some repairs and renovations. There was a bath, but no shower curtain and the lever changing the water from taps to shower was neither fully on nor fully off. Sitting in the bath therefore without getting your knees scalded (taps in the middle of the bath) was difficult. I... More
