We spent two nights at Maison Lumani in early June and it was an enjoyable stay. We mostly liked the charme of the entire building with its garden / courtyard that can also be used for pick nicks, and the big trees who provided some shadow to the hot summer weather (and bedrooms were quite fresh because of the trees).... Lumani lies just inside the city walls of Avignon in a quiet area about ten minutes by foot from the center of town. Our room was on the second floor of the charming main building with a small deck overlooking the pretty garden area. The room we had was large and well appointed, and the bathroom was large with an... More

While the owners Elisabeth and John are very nice it seems they don't really enjoy having guests. Our room was large but smelled like cat pee when we arrived, and breakfast was surely the worst of any B+B we've stayed in. Plus is was quite expensive for what we got. So we were rather disappointed with Lumani and would not... More

Lumani and it's gracious hosts Jean and Elisabeth is a gem of a B&B in Avignon. Located within the city walls, but a 10 minute walk from most of the action so that it was nice and quiet. Lovely old home with a beautiful garden and secure feeling. Both of them were very helpful with information about visits, travel (lent... More

Behind the gate you'll find that Jean & Elisabeth have created a peaceful oasis in the midst of Avignon. A beautiful courtyard with fragrant roses, giant shade trees, a lovely fountain and comfortable places to sit and relax. Our room was cozy yet spacious. The breakfasts consisted of yogurt, french pastries, baguette, homemade jams, honey, fruit and grains. Fabulous restaurants... More

We felt very welcome and cared for during our April 2013 visit. Breakfasts were perfect. Great location---everything is within walking distance, yet it's a peaceful island right next to Avignon's famous wall. Host Elisabeth is a dear (she lent us her umbrella for the day), and her husband Jean went out of his way to help me the morning we... More

I stayed 3 nights with my mom. Jean & Elisabeth were perfect host and the house were so beautiful and artistic. The location is very close to Avignon TGV, so I think it's very lucky to stay such a big house with garden. The exterior of house is very classic but the intertior is very convenient with modern sophisticated renovation.... More

Our hostess was lovely and they were kind and lent us guidebooks and maps for the area. Only one complaint and that was the breakfast. We were there for 6 days and it was exactly the same bread, pastries and granola for each day. A little egg or cheese would have been nice or some variety. Also, the toiletries were... More

Ever since we have discovered this place, we return several times a year, and especially during the Avignon Theatre Festival in July. Where to start ? One of the few and most charming gardens/courtyards in Avignon "intramuros", which means that it's perfectly quiet; ancient trees give welcome shade and playful chiaro/scuro light effects; a charming renovation of a set of...
