Le Clos du Rempart's cultured and warmly spacious interior--filled with beautiful art, lovely carpets, inviting fireplace for cool evenings, and opulently modern conveniences including a remarkably light and spacious room/bathroom--is a wonderfully restful and quiet oasis in an otherwise sometimes busy Avignon. Stepping into Le Clos from the narrow Avignon streets (including the Rue Cremade) opens the visitor to a... More

This lovely B&B was a wonderful start to my two week trip to France. I stayed 4 days with Madame Aida at the charming Clos du Rempart in the Parme room. The home has two B&B suites, and a full apartment attached. It is inside the walls of Avignon, and an easy walk to any place in town. Madame Aida... More

Le Clos du Rempart and her proprietor, Madame Aida Assad, won our hearts from the moment we unloaded our luggage from 2 weeks travel/conference in Brittany and Paris. During the year before our trip, Aida had communicated thoroughly by e-mail, answering any and all questions so that we felt we almost knew her. We were thrilled to meet, finally, and... More

Four of us (two couples) have had a wonderful stay in Le Clos for seven days in October. During the day we walked the ancient city of Avignon or took day trips to gorgeous landscapes and intriguing towns in Provence. We always felt Le Clos was a welcoming, warm home for us after our travels. Aida makes the stay very... More

For our first trip to France, we wanted a charming apartment to act as our home base in Avignon. We found Aida’s lovely apartment over her equally lovely B&B, Le Clos du Rempart, just inside the Old City Walls. It was perfect! Clean, simply and artistically furnished, very functional kitchen, cozy couch, very comfortable beds, towel warmer, beautiful natural lighting... More

We must have gone on an off week. The hostess (Aida) told us that some people had booked for 5 days or a week & cancelled, so perhaps she was mad at them. On the first day, Aida seemed okay. She offered us a tourist book that we had gotten already at the tourist office, but was not overly friendly... More
