Perfect accommodations and "base station" for your Provence vacation. Mme. Aida is a warm, wise, and ever-helpful host -- with excellent English. Le Clos is just inside the rampart, a mere 10-minute walk from Palais de Pape or "le marché" at Les Halles -- and a 10-second drive to the port where you exit the rampart to get quickly on... More

We stayed for 3 nights in May 2013. Our room ‘Sapphire’ was spacious, clean and comfortable. We could see the very pretty patio from the room. Aida is an excellent hostess. She advised us where to go on the map and adjusted breakfast time (early morning) for us. We spent the happy time in the wonderful accommodation. I would stay... More

This is the second time I am staying with Aida. After 4 years, returning to Avignon with another friend. Staying here at Le Clos du Rempart is a must for a comfortable, relaxing trip with a personal touch. The stay was perfect, convenient location at the heart of Avignon old town, perfectly clean and very nicely decorated room, delicious breakfast,... More

I don't usually do these reviews but when the location, room/house and the hostess all each so special, I think i should! Hard to believe the privacy and quietness right inside the old walled city, but it is so. Aida was so helpful, friendly and open that we missed her shortly after moving on to the next place.... We did... More

We (2 60-somethings) visited Avignon in Sept 2012 and had the pleasure of staying with Aida for 3 nights. The fact that I am taking the time to write after all this time atests to the fact that we felt very positve about our experience there. The rooms, the service, the information were wonderful. If you want to chat, she... More

We spent 2 nights here in December and had a wonderful time. Aida is a fantastic hostess - she provided us with maps, advice on where to go/ what to see, and even made dinner reservations on our behalf. We stayed in the Saphir room, which was spacious, clean, and well-decorated. The pillows and mattress were very comfortable and the... More

I loved Aida the owner. She gave us such wonderful advice on where to go and what to see. We did so much on her recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The breakfasts she prepared were terrific. She added a little of everything. Cheeses, fruits, meats you name it. The courtyard was beautiful and the room was... More

We stayed for three nights in November. The innkeeper/owner, Aida Assad, was wonderful in help helpfulness about sightseeing and dining recommendations. Our room was very nice, breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the locations was great for exploring. We would definitely stay here again!
