A friend and I stayed at this gem in September 2015. If I could give it more than five stars I would because it definitely is a wonderful place to stay in Avignon! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt like a member of the family. Aida is the best hostess and obviously loves to take care... More

My wife and I had the good fortune to visit Avignon for two days in August of 2015. One of the high points was our stay at Le Clos du Rempart. This bed and breakfast is remarkably comfortable, quiet and welcoming. Further, Mme. Assad is a wonderful hostess. We hope to return.

My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights at Le Clos du Rempart in Avignon. We highly recommend it. The proprietor, Aida Assad, is a delightful woman full of energy and extremely accommodating. We drove a rental car & had reservations about driving down rue Cremade, it being such a narrow street. After calling her, she met us and helped... More

Spent a wonderful three nights at this quaint, beautiful home. It's extremely well located in a quiet part of Avignon within the city walls. Quick walk to lots of interesting sites and many great restaurants. The proprietor was extremely welcoming and helpful. She helped organize some of our tours and gave us many great tips about how to spend our... More

Our two night stay in Avignon at Aida Assad's delightful B & B was without doubt made very special as a result of her exceptional kindness and hospitality. Who would have thought what lay behind the unassuming blue entrance door off Rue Cremade. This is a miniature riad, having spacious and comfortable areas for lounging and lingering over a superb... Our stay at Le Clos du Rempart was definitely the highlight of our trip to Avignon. The B&B was clean and spacious. It is situated in a quiet, secluded location yet very close to the main sights including the Palais du Papes. Madam Aida was a delightful lady who took care of all our needs. She was extremely friendly and... More

We arrived by train from Bordeaux to Avignon in the evening. Took a taxi to the B&B Aida had only the apartment for 4 available and she stocked the fridge with necessary foods and fruits. She was very helpful with everything we needed. Directions to all the attractions within 15 minutes of walking. Some restaurants with within 5 minutes. There... More

Le Clos du Rempart is a delightful find. A warm welcome awaits from Aida, who is friendly and helpful with advice. The breakfast is special. The table is full of treats every morning and taken in the pergola in the interesting walled garden. The house is situated within easy walking distance of all the sights including the river and Le... We found our B&B address on a tiny street and met the owner, who was very sweet, helped us find great restaurants ("No. 75", and "Cuisine du Dimanche") and spoke perfect English. Her home is lovely and spacious. Breakfast was a treat, including fresh fruit, croissants, butter & jams, cereals, and cafe au lait or tea. She had great advice... More

We stayed at Le Clos due Rempart for 3 nights in May. Aida was such an incredible resource for exploring the area and she recommended a wonderful restaurant, No. 75, that we really enjoyed. She made a delicious breakfast each morning and her jasmine-scented courtyard is pure heaven. All the rooms have wonderfully huge and beautifully tiled bathrooms - I... More
