During partying in Avignon, I decided to sleep over in a hotel. It was 3 am, in a proximity, on my smartphone, I found a hotel Alizea. I gave a call, I apologized as it was 3 am, as I knew it was not the best time to look for the hotel. I explained to the receptionnist I was looking... More

The first tap of our interrail trip was planned at home. Notwithstanding the fact that probably you can find better and better, at this prices (55 euros per night per room) you difficultly can sleep in a double bed room with ensuite services, 150 m far from the main station and the city centre. Highly recommended!

The reason we chose this hotel was the central location and reasonable price. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my friend and it was rather disturbing experience. When checking in, the hotel manager took his time procrastinating giving us a room even though we made a booking in advance and all the other rooms were empty that... More

You know when you book this it's not the Ritz and its reflected in the price. However if you are thinking of it there are a few things you should know. No air conditioning, very noisy location, 4ft 6 bed. My room was on the street and I didn't sleep a wink. Don't know if it would be any better... More

This Hotel is very well situated, has clean linen and a reasonably comfortable bed but that is about all I can say that is good. The first thing that struck me is the smell! The reception area smells of fly spray all the time and the passages smell of sale cigarette smoke day & night. Fortunately the room had windows... More

I was really hesitant to write any review about this hotel. The reason is that if I say something good it would be a lie. On the other hand if I mention all the bad things it would be unfair. The title says it all. Do not plan to stay there for a day. It's better to say, ok I'm... More

The hotel was seedy but clean and very well located. We had has a room on the street and yet not that noisy. Easy walk to everything. There are far better hotels in town but my wife had just bought a bunch of heavy books and I didn't want to be far from the station. I had no bugs and... More

Hotel Alizea is a small budget joint right on the main street of Avignon's old city. It's within easy walking distance of just about all the main attractions, and there's a handy Carrefour grocery store a few doors down across the street (that is, if you'd rather shop there than at the lovely Les Halles market, about a 10 minute... The hotel is in a very nice position and similar to many other low standard hotels in France. Unfortunately, there is a major inconvenience: a massive infestation of bed bugs (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cimex_lectularius)! It caused my husband about fifty bites and skin rush lasting more than two weeks... Now I understand why it was the only hotel having available rooms on... More

Travelling with my two girlfriends, we are young and 'backpacking' and had been staying in hostels previous to this "hotel". We found this place the worst out of everything we stayed in, unfortunately, because Avignon is such a cute town and has so much street presence. This place really was an unfortunate experience, however not terrible! We were paying next... More
