The price was good, location fantastic, great charm. But the room was freezing. I think we were the only people staying since it was well out of tourist season. The hotel is in the pedestrian area in the centre of the old town. It was so easy to walk wherever I needed. The staff were really helpful in arranging some day trips for me as I couldn't speak any French. more

I found the Palais des Papes to be one of the most charming yet regal places in Avignon. The staff were kind and very helpful. The rooms were great (esp. #12). With a view over the courtyard and the palace itself, I would stay there again in a minute. more

Hotel - very french (in a very good way). Oldy-worldy feel about it but very authentic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean and the extra few Euros upgrade to Superior room is so worth it - the view into the Place du Palais des Papes was amazing. Stayed at this hotel for three nights in July during the Festival. Although the room was not very big it was very clean and comfortable. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Gave us good suggestions for eating out - which proved to be very good. Breakfast was lovely - especially if eaten out in the courtyard. more
