This hotel was originally built in 1913 and unfortunately, it shows - and not in a good way. Conveniently located on the Rue de la Republique and extremely easy to find from the Avignon Centre train station (just walk straight out and continue until you reach the hotel on the left), this hotel would be okay for a short stay.... more

This hotel is about 2 mins walk from the station and right in the heart of Avignon. We had a private room and this was really nice with balcony. Just be aware of loud traffic on the main road and night and morning. TV, nice bathroom. The hotel is fine and the free breakfast is a nice french stick, coffee/tea... more

I booked the hotel, but the reservation was not taken into account. We got there at 9pm and the hotel was full. The staff admitted their mistake and called many hotels in order to find us a place to stay that same night. They found one (Le Relais) and paid for the taxi. In the meantime they gave us a... more

I stayed at the Regina with a friend for a couple of nights in July 2008. We had a double room (two twin beds) with air conditioning. The Regina is in an excellent location, right in the heart of Avignon. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The beds weren't the greatest in the world, but they were... more

The location was great, right in the heart of the old city. However, my first room was facing the main street, and was extremely noisy to past 2 in the morning. I asked for a different room the next morning, and was given a quiet room on the interior. (This new room had air conditioning, but it hardly worked at... more

On the basic side but the location was great. If you only want somewhere in the centre of Avignon to keep your gear and sleep it is the best on offer at a fairly cheap price. Ice cream place nery close and very good. Location good for Pope's Palace which is THE place to see, very good value more

We made a reservation at this hotel through the Rates To Go website, paid a deposite and booking fee and received a reservation confirmation. Howeever on arriving at the hotel the staff said that there was no room available (the fax from Rates to Go had apparently been sitting on the hotel's fax machine all night and all day) and... more

We went there at Easter to visit Avignon and the surroundings. The hotel is small but very comfortable. Even though the hotel is on the main street, the room itself was very quiet. The real advantage was that it is centrally-located and we were able to walk everywhere without taking the car. The cost of the room was excellent value... more

As a college student, I love the Regina Hotel. For the price, I was expecting a dumpy hostel. The double room I had was pretty tiny, but we had a small personal balcony that looked onto the main street in Avignon. You can even see the statue ontop of the Palace of the Popes! We were able to walk everywhere... more

Graffiti on the front door. Phone ripped from the wall. Torn furnature. Stains and pealing paint and wall paper. Just gross, even for a 2 star hotel. We stayed there for all of 30 minutes. more

Work of restoration was carried out in january 2007 on all the rooms. The remarks and photographs do not correspond...
