The quirky charm of Hotel Mignon bumps my rating up to "above average." We just stayed one night on our way from Spain before heading to Antibes. The owners are so charming that we overlooked any other quirks! And the hotel building itself is quaint and "real" and we enjoyed it very much. Be warned, no elevator but we didn't... More

Spent 6 nights there in April. Comfortable, clean, convenient, charming, and quiet. It's in the old town within easy walking distance of train and bus stations, sights, restaurants etc. Proprietor (Serge) is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is inexpensive and good. We would be happy to stay there again.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel has beautiful character and wonderful ambiance. Everything was very clean, the value is excellent for what you get and it is right in the heart of Avignon.

We were aware that the hotel Mignon offered small rooms but we were still surprised at how so much had been packed into such a tiny space, yes the room was small but it was perfectly adequate even if you do have to breath in to get into the shower, it really is a quirky little hotel that has charm in... with Wi Fi in the room. Hotel Mignon gave me everything I needed as a solo traveler coming through Avignon for a few days. It's perfectly located in Old Avignon Centre and very easy to find coming from the train station outside the old town walls. Great price for a clean room and a friendly owner who makes a nice... I'm in no way a hotel snob. My main criteria for selecting a hotel/room: central, affordable, and clean. This hotel checks a few boxes: central, affordable, and with friendly staff. The optional breakfast was filling and a good value. The downside: the rooms feel a bit dingy and in need of an update. We booked a double room and were... More

Best place for budget travellers who appreciate clean rooms. There is internet in the small lobby. But if you have dificulties with stairs or mini bathrooms (only thin people enter in the shower box), or have huge and heavy luggage, pay more for another place. If you don't have such problems, I would recommend this hotel!

The Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Nice rooms in a central location for a good price. The rooms and bathrooms are - as was said before - rather small. However, if you are in Avignon, chances are you will spend your days exploring the City or the Wine Region ;) Breakfast - like the rooms - was... More

Our trip to France was nearly ruined by the horror of spending 2 hours in this hellhole. My wife suffered 14 bedbug bites in this hotel. We have pictures of the bites. I was forced to run the streets of Avignon after midnight searching in vain for a decent hotel room. A kind man at the Mercure Hotel finally steered... More

Serge F, Propriétaire at Hotel Mignon, responded to this review

First of all, you should know: 1st A hotel does not raze and does not commercialize bedbugs; the insects are always transported by the traveller himself. And the bedbugs come from the public places: cinemas, theatres, waiting rooms, trains or buses. 2nd Many guesthouses are confronted to this problem, irrespective of their stars’ number or the cleanliness of the hotel.... Excellent central location in Avignon, Innkeeper Serge very helpful in answering our questions and offering suggestions for our stay. Room very small but that is what we paid for. Air Conditioning not quite up to par, and opening the window at night for circulation subjected us to street noise.
