I found this hotel to be in the most amazing location you can imagine - it is right in the centre of Avignon. It is only about 10min walk from the Avignon Central Train station. From there you can walk everywhere: Pope's Palace, market Les Halles, shops, restaurants - everything really. The Hotel lobby was very small but charming. All... More

We booked six nights at The Hotel de l'Horloge and had a wonderful time. Front desk was very helpful. Room was typically small and had no dresser for clothes storage. This must be common in Europe as none of our French hotels had dressers. We had a room overlooking the central plaza which was always full of entertaining sights and... More

Ideally located just off the Place de l'Horloge, this hotel offers ambiance, convenience, and a most friendly and helpful staff. We had one of the smallest rooms, but even this was ample by French standards. There are some good restaurants very close nearby (in spite of Rick Steves' negative comments on them), but avoid La Veraisson. Periodically there are wonderful... More

It's hard to know where to start with recommending this hotel. I found it through Trip Advisor and booked a great price off-season. I came in via TGV with every intention of taking the shuttle to city centre, but a weird train delay meant I didn't come in until almost midnight. The taxi was 18 euro and dropped me off... More

I found this hotel listing on Trip Advisor and it ranked high then and I am supporting this rating. This hotel was ranked #2 and it deserved such credit. Location is superb. The rooms are delightful. Staff is wonderful. Staying here was a pleasure. We could walk anywhere within 10 minutes. Train station is nearby.

Perfect location, 10 mins walk from station. But then your right in the heart of the good spots for playing tourist. It's located right on the edge the main square. Super clean, one of the cleanest hotels I've seen. Friendly staff, they recommended some local restaurants and all were great. Comfy beds Street is noisy, but the room had double... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. It's main selling point is its location, it is really central, and so easy to pop back to if you are out and about in Avignon. Also the breakfasts were really good, and plenty of choice. The downside was the size of the rooms. We had a superior room, so I wouldn't like to... More

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location, just seconds walk from palais du pape and all bars & restaurants. If travelling by train the main train station is only about 10 min walk. When you leave the station, cross the main road and walk straight down the main street until you come to the square, hotel is then just seconds away!... More

Great location on the edge of the old town. Room quite comfortable but a bit on the small side. There is a lift (not sure if it goes up to all floors). Reception staff spoke English. Our room faced Avignon's community square area where there are lots of restaurants and other activities. Therefore there was quite a bit of noise... More

We had room 501 very clean room with comfy bed. Excellent terrace with shower Although as the wind was cold preferred the indoor version Very good breakfast the hotel is within walking distance of all major sites and restaurants We came from TGV station and were a little confused on the shuttle bus situation On reflection would have had hotel...
