Good experience overall, but nothing amazing. Our room was quite small and oddly shaped... we had to walk down a long hallway to get to our bathroom. The room was clean and pleasant though. The location was very nice, making everything easy to walk to.

Nothing wrong at all. Room was big and clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very very good - best selection whilst in France. Truly honest view - Avignon is a Tourist trap - big time: keep to the pedestrian precinct (not the main sq).

Stayed here for two nights with my family. This is a great little place inside the walled city. Hotel is set up on an old building with a lot of charm. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Kids had their own 2 single beds on a split level in the room (we all loved this arrangement). If you are arriving... More

We stayed in a room over-looking the place de l'Horloge, which was brilliant for 'people watching', and not at all noisy thanks to the double-glazing. The hotel is well located for visiting the Popes Palace, the Bridge (10 min walk) and central for most of the places to visit around the city. Really good value-for-money breakfast, and very helpful staff... More

Travelling solo for a first time, I found my two night stay at Hotel de L'Horloge Avignon was perfect. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was lovely and clean. The hotel is perfectly located just off the Place de l'Horloge and was quiet even though traffic passed by the entrance. With many cafes and restaurants walking distance... More

Both good and bad. The good - the hotel has an excellent location where you can walk to everything you want to see in Avignon. The rooms themselves were ok but the service can certainly use polishing - we got a mix of both good and sloppy service. One of the front desk attendees almost seemed "annoyed" when requested to... Very nice hotel in a great location. Walking distance to the palace and right on the square. The staff was quite friendly and helpful with directions and parking. The rooms were small but clean and a good buffet breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for couples and families. I would stay there again on my next trip to Provence.

Great location, very clean, fresh breakfast, staff extremely helpful, bed comfy - however, 6 days in a room where could not put suitcases in or hardly walk around the bed and staff workroom next door was disappointing, booking made very early in year, hotel was full so no alternative. Will come and stay again, but demand better room. S &... More

We are 2 couples who arrived in Avignon after10 days on a boat in the Du Midi Canal. The hotel was excellent and we even had a bath in the room! Well situated and it was easy to walk to many attractions in Avignon. The hotel is surrounded by many nice bars, restaurants, shops and ice cream parlours! There is... More

Very comfortable stay here for two nights. Room and bathroom were cleaned to a high standard, bed was small but comfortable, and the location was second to none. For a weekend break or short stay this is the ideal location. For a longer stay do not take a standard room, as in most of France, the rooms are pokey!
