It was so romantic our room with the canopy bed! Very French style with the high ceilings and the stone stairwell just getting into the apartment. They have a beautiful courtyard too. We stayed in the main one with the en suite bathroom. As we were going through a road trip across the south of France, we had stayed in... More

La Petite Saunerie offers travelers charming, affordable quarters in the heart of Avignon. Proprietress Anne-Lise and her family welcome you in to their 1st floor (that's 2nd floor to you Americans) authentic 17th c. living quarters with vaulted ceilings and elaborate molding, renovated with modern bathroom fixtures and fitted with chic French flea market-style furnishing and linens. Pour les personnes qui parle Anglais. Anne Lis and her family are delightful and very helpful, especially for first time visitors to Avignon. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast with fresh, homemade (by Anne) confitures, brioche, yaourt (yogurt) and either coffee or tea. The rooms are spectacular, beautifully decorated and cared for by this charming young woman. She provided us with very good... More

Wow. We stayed for two nights in the most romantic, beautiful room, plunging us into centuries-old grandeur, but providing all the modern conveniences - wifi, updated sleek modern bathroom, and a comfortable bed. The high-ceilinged, gorgeously appointed room and adjoining bathroom were even better than the pictures! Anne-Lise is a wonderful host, letting us park our bags early, recommending excellent... More

We booked this B&B after our favorite hotel had no vacancy. Now we have a problem, as we have an additional favorite in Avignon. Located, near the Popes Palace in the heart of the old Avignon, 'La Petite Saunerie' is a wonderful option, if you look for a friendly host (Anna Lise), tasty breakfast with home made ingredients and like... We spent three nights in total at this delightful little B&B. It is in the perfect location to explore Avignon. It is in a quite historic little lane way, but only a 3-5 minute walk from the popes palace, many restaurants, and lots of other sights. The location is quiet and very peaceful. Unfortunately the website does not have photos... More

An absolute gem. This private home has been lovingly renovated, offering three rooms arranged around a central dining room in a home-from-home. Rooms and bed-linen are immaculately clean, soft light through the tall French windows just invites you to feel immediately at ease and rested. Breakfast is superb : everything home-made. Step outside in the evening and within moments you... More

My husband and I were traveling through France and we simply loved staying here in Avignon. You are in the middle of it all without being in the middle of it all. This B&B is in a private home that has been renovated for this purpose with ensuite baths and great amenities. The inkeepers were wonderful and the breakfasts were... More

We stayed for 2 nights and felt very welcomed and at home. It is a great location in the old centre, close to everything. The room was beautiful, almost a bit quirky, the bed was comfortable also a great shower. Anne-Lise's breakfasts were a good start to the day and on our last morning we had to leave very early...
