We stayed in this hotel in July, it was very hot so thank god for air condition which was so welcome when we entered our room. The staff was lovely and we ate breakfast one morning in the hotel and it was nice.the only thing I would say the bathroom was lovely but had no shower curtain and for us,... More

This hotel was awful. My son and I arrived on a hot day. The car park was full so they sent us to another. We lugged our bags through the garage and past the homeless man sleeping on the sidewalk next to the door. There are several sets of steps to get in. No ramp. Two men that work for... More

Conveniently located to the railway station was the first attraction for our initial booking of this hotel. It is also convenient to the tourist bureau and the centre of town. The reception staff were sooo welcoming and had many helpful tourist tips. Room was very comfortable, clean and quite. Staff was very obliging and happy to provide us with tea... More

Top Tip: Book a family room if you are travelling with an infant or want any kind of extra space for luggage, as the double rooms are very small. Plus: The bathroom is huge, but the standard double had no shower cubicle, just a shower head on the bath, so the bathroom gets soaked with water upon every use. Apparently... More

At the beginning of June I spent a week at the Bristol Hotel and I couldn't fault it. The staff were exceedingly helpful and courteous. The rooms were very nicely maintained and breakfast was plentiful. The Bristol is the perfect hotel for a trip to Avignon in particular and Provence in general. I hope to return to the area one... Avignon is an old, old city - enclosed completely by its old castle walls. Without a doubt, all of its buildings are quite dated. Bristol is a dated property but has been modernized slightly. Our room: an old smell when we walked in. Not bad. Creaky floors. It was ok. It's old. Oddly, our room was super quiet even though... More

This hotel is in a great location, just opposite the tourist office and only 5 minutes from the train station. It is on the main road leading down to the pope palace. The hotel is clean and tidy, the rooms are large and well appointed. I stayed in a family room, and the bathroom came with both a shower and... More

The location is excellent (5 minutes from the gare), the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the room was very comfortable. A bit small, but still an excellent value. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a great little hotel near to the train station and a short walk from the main square, main attractions and Palace We didn't avail of breakfast due to the cost which is typical for hotels. You can get a better deal at any of the cafes close by, and the added benefit of being able to sit outside.

The Bristol is well located on the main street in Avignon, the staff is friendly, and it's adequate as a place to use as base camp for exploring the town, but if a hotel experience is part of what you're looking for, there are better options. The public area, such as it is, is drab and the bar area was... More
