We stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel Bristol. The room decorating could use a little face lift. But, it was very clean and comfortable. Although a bit overpriced, we did enjoy the breakfast which was a nice selection of meats, cheeses, fruit, eggs, breads, pastries, yogurts, cereals, and beverages. We appreciated the very friendly and helpful staff. We liked... More

Spent 5 nights at hotel. Staff were very helpful & welcoming. Room overlooked main street & was big and light with two French doors. Room was very clean with comfortable bed. Breakfast was buffet style with good choice (no hot food except boiled eggs) Excellent location for walking, town centre, shops, busses & train station. Would have no hesitation in... More

We have just spent a week in this hotel. On arrival check in was quick and efficient. Our room was basic but of a good size, very clean and air conditioned. The shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. The housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay The buffet breakfast was plentiful and very fresh. An unusual thing for France was... More

Very friendly staff. Located on Avignon's Main Street, inside the city walls. Valet parking for 13€ per day and you don't need a car to explore inside the city. Breakfast is a bit above the French norm and includes eggs, several cheeses breads and pastries, etc. Downside is weak American style coffee is the only coffee option. Clean rooms with reasonable... We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Our room was spacious and very clean. The hotel has elevator and rooms are equipped with air condition. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for 3 nights recently. It was fantastic to be able to walk from the train station to the hotel. The location was great. It was a nice stroll into the town of Avignon. We booked a couple of tours and the staff were very helpful and organised everything for us. The only danger is all the shops... More

Location is close to Avignon train station (not the TGV STATION) and is just inside the city walls. Walk to the popes' palace and many cafés and restaurants. Across and down the block is the tourism center, good for getting help. Breakfast was very goo, even if short on local fresh fruits. Front staff were great in trying to help... More

Location is great: the Bristol is just inside the old walls of Avignon, on the main street leading to the popes' palace. There are many restaurants and cafés close by, and it's an easy walk to the palace. It's also just one block and across a wide boulevard from the Avignon local train station (not the super fast TGV station... More

My traveling companians and I chose this hotel on the high ratings that it received through Trip Advisor. We were suprised that such a nice hotel (not overly priced) was so close to the train station. (We had chosen a hotel in Bordeaux on an earlier leg of our trip near the train station that was not nice at all.)... More
