This hotel is prominently located off the main arterial route that links the A7 to Avignon. The hotel is newly refurbished and is now a modern hotel with extra spacious room and contemporary decor. The room is fresh and clean, fully air conditioned and has a patio door leading to the car park, with another inner patio door effectively blocking... more

We stayed one night. The hotel is renovated, clean, moder style. Guests can use swimming pool. not far away bus stop. by bus it takes around 20 minutes to city centre.I would recommend for those with the cars and not for long time. more

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in July when the Avignon Festival was held. All the hotels in/near the old town were fully booked and were too expensive. Therefore, we picked this one as it costs reasonably. The hotel is a little far away from the old town, so it's suitable for those who drive.... more

The bottom line is that this hotel is not for those without transport! The hotel information is misleading in stating that the location is only five minutes from the city walls: true if you have a car, but otherwise you are faced with a good twenty minute walk into town through a run-down area. Bus services end at around 7.30... more

Traveled to Avignon for business and stayed here for 3 nights. It was awful. Very shabby. A/C barely worked. Room was dimly lit. No towels in b/r. Pool is shared w/birds and cats. Door to small balcony was broken. Drapes were dirty. An overall bad experience. Could not wait to leave. more

Well, arriving from Paris was nice. Trains have sooo much more leg room than planes. Unfortunately Bastille Day has travelling effects all over France, not just Paris. With no buses, we had to get a taxi. The place seemed a little shady when we pulled up with the gates and all, but it was actually a very nice hotel. There... more

This is a standard motel type hotel, but comfortable with friendly English speaking staff and air conditioning that works. The pool is superb.and after a hot day trudging around Avignon, what better than to come back to your hotel and relax in and around the pool. At first, the surroundings look a bit dodgy and the car park is gated... more

We chose to stay here, rather than at the central Mercure, as the TripAdvisor reviews for the central hotel were not good, and the Sud rates were cheaper. In addition, there is a lovely swimming pool. The hotel is at 20 minutes distance walking from the centre, plus an unreliable bus service. Cabs are about 10 euros each way. Everyone... more
