We stayed for a week in ths lovely former monastery. It has been completely renovated and quite modern but lovely. Sayed in Amelle room which was huge! Fabulous heated pool and evening meals etc provided if you give notice to the owners the day before. The only downside was the hoardes of midges and mosquitos...we all got bitten...take plenty of... Thank you very much for your positive inputs. Just two points : - You rented an apartment (not a room). Cleaning is naturally free and made every day for rooms. Its is an option at the end of the week should you rent an apartment. Either you clean it yourself or you select to have it done by our housekeepers,... More

Jean Pierre is truly wonderful and will welcome you with open arms to his beautiful estate in a quiet oasis about 12 minutes-drive from the center of Avignon. While the drive from Mas de Capelou to Avignon city-centre requires a taxi for dinners or cocktails out at night, it is well worth the stay as you feel like you can... More

A fairly new bed and breakfast set about 10 mins out of Avignon. You will need a car to use this B n B, but it is well worth it. We stayed in the Chapel suit which consisted of a very big bid room with tables and chairs and a big window that could open right up. The bathroom was... More

We arrived here in June after an intense month of traveling in Portugal and Spain and found it to be the perfect haven to relax and recharge. Catherine and Jean Pierre were great hosts. Because we have spent a lot of time in Avignon in past vacations we elected to visit wineries during the day and stay in at night... More

Mas de Capelou is a very comfortable and peaceful haven close to the busy town of Avignon and the lovely restaurants of Villeneuve-les-Avignon. The house has been tastefully restored and the pool is a good size. There are a variety of places to sit and relax in the gardens, be it in sun or shade and parking is plentiful. All... More

A warm welcome, a comfortable part of life in a beautiful countryside. This is ideal for relaxing, enjoy the comfort and beauty of the house. And all this just a few kilometers from Avignon and its cultural and historical architectural wealth. The welcome of Catherine and Jean-Pierre is warm and friendly. Enjoy.

After two days you are switched off from the executive life excitement. It is pure relaxation at your own pace and time. Breakfast is outside till 10h00. Nice. It usually takes me 7-10 days to leave the executive actions behind but here in 2 days. You are in nature, great rooms, excellent service and a relaxing pool . And romantic... More

My wife and I had a really great stay at Mas de Capelou. The B & B was apparently a monastery a few hundred years ago. The building has classic stone lines and remnants of old stone fences. It's set next to a pear orchard and many large Sycamore and other types of mature trees. Every day we would pick... More

I had a lovely stay with my husband this summer at peaceful Mas de Capelou. We stayed in the Suite - Chapel which is brand new, very spacious and has both a modern and traditional touch. The Mas is also a great spot to enjoy local delicacies : breakfast prepared with local products served on a shaded terrace, local wines... More

Mas de Capelou really exceeded our expectations. This is a nicely restored farmhouse, situated on a pear orchard in very picturesque countryside just outside of Avignon. The rooms have high ceilings and large windows looking out on the orchard, fresh white walls and linens. Very light and sunny, in good taste. We also had a spacious walk-in shower with modern...
