Really enjoyed the hotel. The staff was very helpful - gave us recomendations for food and wine. We had 2 rooms - both were roomy and clean. The pool looked wonderful, but is was too cold to try it out. It was hard getting to the hotel - got lost a few times - but they parked our cars for... more

Contrary to 5/23/09 somewhat negative review, during our May 8 and 9 , 2009 two night stay, we found the Du Forum wonderfully located (we pulled up in front and staff parked, and then delivered our car promptly) and typical of a historic property. Yes, it was not like bringing a capsule of America along with us (like our last... more

The hotel is directly on the main square of Arles and the rooms are very large. The staff was generally excellent and helpful. The rooms themselves are spare, and lack some basic amenities. The mattress was overly hard, and we prefer very firm bedding. There was no waste basket save a coffee can sized bin in the bath. The linens... more

Our first hotel stay in France was at the Hotel du Forum. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We appreciated their willingness to augment our basic French skills. Anything we requested was taken care of quickly. Our triple room had all amenities, and felt just as I imagined a room in Provence would feel like. The window overlooked the... more

Perhaps our room was a little basic, but this was more than made up by the hotel's charm and the fact that it was right in the centre of Arles overlooking Van Gogh's "Night Cafe". The location was perfect. So too was the helpfulness of the proprietors. Our car had been making ominous noises for the last 200 miles or... more

I would like to start on a positive note by saying that the hotel staff was very nice and accomodating. However, that is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. I booked my stay at this hotel based on other travelers' reviews, but was extremely underwhelmed when i arrived at the hotel. I cannot believe this hotel... more

We stayed here for four nights in October with our 18 month old son. The hotel is very central to all sightseeing. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very basic, but they had a high chair which was always available for us. Our room was very big with a high ceiling. The only drawback was that the... more

Arriving in Arles after dark without a map was a serious mistake. The narrow streets ,inevitable one way's make the journey to this hotel a serious challenge. However its worth the effort. They will park your car in the garage for an extra 8 euros.Worth every penny! This hotel is probably the closest to the story book.Quirky coridors, different sized rooms but oozing charm.... more

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in September and hope to return in the future. We booked on the strength of the good reviews posted here and found all the praise expressed in them fully justified. Arles is a beautiful town with an ancient Roman quarter in the middle. Whilst this provides many sightseeing opportunities, the very... more

This hotel is located in the heart of the old town just off the main square only 2 minutes stroll to the arena and the local shops. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff very pleasant. A very attractive young lady on the desk was happy to correct my Geordie-French accent, apparently the number of my room 15... more
