We were introduced to this Old France Camargue country Estate by a French friend. We did not have time to stay but did go for dinner. The estate is out in the country and by itself. They specialize in quiet, bird watching, rides on the beach, river trips, watching the bulls in nature as well as in the Sunday bull games. It... More

Expensive but worth it. An old French Camargue farm complex developed over the years by the owners into a dozen or so suites. Total luxury, beautifully appointed, quality finish and in a peaceful setting. Great food. Quality bathrooms, comfortable beds. Nothing I could fault. We were there for a wedding and took over the whole place, had the reception in... More

This is a charming hotel derived from a farm house. The room are quiet and very individual. Surroundings are beautiful with an excellent pool. The horse riding and river trips are not advised or appears not available. Resturant was excellent but would have been better on the terrace providing the Mosquitos were killed. If you want peace with a rather... More

To start with the downsides... Yes the room soundproofing could be better, yes it's expensive, yes there are children (all immaculately behaved when we were there) and yes there was no shower in our room (lovely big bath though) Having said that the hotel is deeply charming, the setting is wonderful, the service is warm, welcoming and friendly and the... We came back exactly one year after our first stay there and found the place as good as it was the year before (as reflected in my first review of this wonderful place here). This time we came for a slightly longer stay and took some friends with us. In the morning we took an exciting trip on a SUV... More

The hotel is in a lovely location and the principle/idea of the retreat in the heart of the Carmague is initially a good one. Unfortunately this 'boutique hotel' is swarming with children and inconsiderate parents who appear unable to control them. The pool area is lovely but again ruined by loud children and parents. The breakfast is lovely, but the... More

Although this hotel has lovely grounds and certainly has some character (we enjoyed a musical presentation by local gypsies), we were sorely disappointed in almost every aspect of our stay. The price way exceeds the quality of the accomodations and the same can be said for the dining room. At 5 start prices, one would expect soft sheets, luxurious bathrooms,... More

Dear mfginSF, We thank you very much for taking the time to share your comments about your stay at the Mas de Peint. However, it is regrettable to know that your stay was not as comfortable as it could have been. Nevertheless we have to insist to the fact that our sheets are branded Basque linen of high quality. We... More

Very peaceful location on a huge estate. Small number of rooms. Nice buildings. Friendly reception. So far so good. Problem is more than EUR 300 for an OK room without breakfast is simply not in line with the things provided to a guest. Outside pool area not very imaginatively constructed. We did not eat at their restaurant and also had... More

This is a beautiful, peaceful spot in the Camargue. The large, sparkling pool sits next to a pasture with a friendly, native white horse, there to remind you that you are in the cowboy country of France. The owner, Frederic, was warm and friendly and catered to our request to horseback ride a little earlier than the schedule normally permits.... More

If you pay up to €320 a room per night you'd expect top notch. But it was not. The arrival was great, we had a lovely afternoon at the beautiful pool. The lunch on the pool terrace was very good. But from then it went downwards. The very expensive dinner was made by a chef with a gazpacho fetish. Almost... More
