I booked a two night stay in July for this hotel through Travelocity and it was confirmed. A day later, the hotel called me directly and said there was no room for me and that they could not homor the reservation. If I wanted to stay there the rate would be 470 Euro a night instead of 242 Euros a... More

The Grand Hotel Nord Pinus is the most richly historic hotel in Arles. Artists, writers and fighters have all graced it for over 100 years. But more than that, it is a fantastic, contemporary retreat, located bang in the centre of historic Arles. The styling is ‘mid-century modern meets bullfighting’. An abundance of historic bullfighting posters line the stairwell. The... More

Stayed here one night on 29 April 2015. The hotel sits at one end of the central tourist square (ringed with tourist trap restaurants) in the old city. The room was typically small but nicely decorated, but the bathroom was very large and modern. The breakfast was somewhat pricey and decent, not memorable, but sitting outside overlooking the square was... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in October. The room was large, clean and very well appointed. We had two chairs and a table to sit and read every night. The bathroom was also large and clean with a separate shower and a heater which was a wonderful luxury! We had dealings with three different women on staff... More

Conscientiously owned and and operated, this hotel sits adjacent to the yellow cafe in Van Gogh's painting. Easy walk to everything, and the rooms & bathrooms are bright and clean.Loved the big tub! With breakfasts in the room and great provençal dining within steps of the hotel, I heartily recommend this hotel. The management went above and beyond for us,... More

This very charming hotel in the center of the medieval town was a perfect place for my wife and I to spend the weekend. Despite being opposed to the bull fighting we were able to share in a weekend of the festival where we enjoyed the food, drinks, and entertainment of the village. The hotel was in the center of... Beautiful experience. The hotel is lovingly restored -- a treasure-trove of memorabilia of the era of bullfighters and movie stars who populated the hotel in its original heyday. Our room was chic and comfortable with a huge bathtub, plenty of push towels and toiletries of Provence. The breakfast was fantastic -- well worth the price. Service was impeccable. The manager... We went to this hotel as we read about the history so we were hoping to enjoy an aperitif at the hotel where Picasso once slept and bullfighters favoured. When we got there, we sat outside on the terrace along with a few other patrons, but nobody from the hotel came outside to serve anyone. So after a while, we... More

Madame, Monsieur, We are so sorry that you were not patient enough to wait for somebody from the staff to come (it is never very long before somebody that might be occupy elsewhere comes back to the desk). We could have explained to you that the bar opens only after 6:00pm and most of all, you could have had a... More

We booked this after reading other reviews and because we wanted a character hotel that promised a good experience - but we were a bit disappointed. Although all the staff were generally friendly and helpful, we feel this place needs more care and attention to merit a high room rate compared to other hotels in this area of France.

Lovely French boutique hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Can't be beaten on location. If you have a car, it's much cheaper to park on the street rather than the hotel car park. Staff are friendly enough.
