If you like luxury, this is not the place. Bare necessities, not much light in the rooms which were used by cloistered nums (no surprise here), hot breakfast was served rather cold and not very good. This was included as a "special" booking, I would have rather had comfort & visited the place for history.

My wife and I stayed 1 night in early September, and I'd wish it was for longer. The lobby is beautiful, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the room is well appointed and beautifully decorated. The location is hard to beat too; being located very close to the famous Arles Amphitheater. Breakfast was great, but a bit more expensive... More

Charming, delightful. Oh yes, Hotel Jules Cesar has it all. And all located in the historic appealing town of Arles. We only stayed one brief, passing- through, day/night. But it was a fine sampler. Hotel staff of exceptional service, very helpful concierge/valet. Restaurant's quality, one that wouldn't be ashamed anywhere. Take breakfast on the terrace and France is at it's... More

This is a beautiful hotel that has been redecorated in a quirky and eccentric manner (I'm sure they told us it was done by Christian Lacroix). The modern decor and beautiful old building and grounds work well together. I was travelling with a friend on a road trip from Nice to Barcelona and she found this little treasure for us.... More

This hotel went beyond the call of duty to make our stay a special one, including an upgrade as we were on our honeymoon. From the valet parking to the bringing of our luggage to the room right through check out, we were met by friendly staff. Enjoyable stay and we highly recommend.

Had 4 nights at this hotel which has recently undergone a refurbishment. 3 stars makes it sound like it wasn't a great experience - it was fine, but 3 stars always means for me not so much that I would not recommend it, but that I would actively look at something else before going for this one again, and that... “We confirm you that our hotel is now totally renovated and that works are completed. Don’t worry about your arrival.” That’s the email I received on 14th May. So we were more than disappointed on 11th June to arrive and find that the room we had booked on the lower level was unfinished, as was that entire level, the garden,... More

On a road trip through France we stayed at the Hotel Jules Cesar. It was one of the best hotels on our trip. Perfect location, great staff and the room was beautiful which looked out on the cloister. Everything was clean and modern and only a short walk to the center for sightseeing, shopping and dining. I would highly recommend... More

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights here. The staff are wonderful, especially the bellman who parked our car, greeted us with a smile, and was very helpful. The hotel has been recently renovated and our room looked into a cloister. Bathroom was clean and modern and the location was absolutely perfect, a short walk to square Van Gogh,... More
