The place in itself is full of charm, with its vintage decor and attention to detail...Eric is a welcoming and friendly host and has been very helpful in giving us hints and tips about visiting the town and the surrounding area. We stayed in the top floor suite which is beautifully decorated and has a outdoor terrace where we had... More

Eryk was the best host ever. We had the room at the top (La Suite Celeste). The room was very quiet and large, great shower with plenty of hot water, well stocked kitchen with a balcony with a small couch, table and 2 chairs. Watch out for mosquitoes (we were there in October). Charming bedroom with a comfortable bed and... More

L'Aubergine Rouge is a unique soul. Tucked away in the delightful La Roquette quartier of Arles, it contains all the charm, detail and atmosphere one could hope for whilst away from home; a brilliant and inspired antidote to the glut of unimaginative B&Bs out there. Eric has crafted a true labour of love, the rooms, walls and corridors brimming with... More

Our stay at L'Aubergine Rouge, and the Van Gogh Room was complete magic! Eryk greeted us our first evening with a friendly smile, conversation, some wine, Provencal olives and a delicious Camargue rice dish he had made for us. My friend Peter and I felt instantly welcome and at home and that feeling continued for our entire stay of nearly... More

L'aubergine rouge was outstanding. We spent 3 night in the Celestine suite and the place is decorated with such taste and originality...irresistible. During our stay my boyfriend ended up having to go to Emergency and Eric, the amazing Eric waited for us until 3am. Upon our arrival from the hospital Eric had tea and biscuits for us, such a great... More

Spent 3 nights with Eric and the gang over the summer during a stretch of very hot weather. Glad to have the air-conditioning. The rooms were so interestingly decorated--quirky, colorful, eclectic. The stairs to the rooms were quite steep, so this might be a poor choice for someone with mobility problems--husband had some difficulty, especially after a long day of... More

Our weeklong stay at L’Aubergine Rouge in Arles was a highlight of our 3 week adventure in France this summer. Eric, our proprietor, went out of his way to ensure that all went well for us, even when it meant meeting us at the train station at 22:00 hrs. on Bastille Day after our train arrived 3 hours late (hurrah... Wonderful, unique experience! Almost like being with family, really warm and welcoming. Great attention to detail, but not overdone or artificial. Our stay at l'Aubergine Rouge was definitely one of the high points of our entire trip to France. If we're in Arles again, I hope we can stay with you, or at least visit.

We stayed three nights in the Heavenly Suite. We arrived after 10 pm and Eric provided a friendly greeting and rice and parmesan to warm and fill us up before bed. The suite has a lovely terrace where we sat and watched the swifts over the rooftops. Eric is a real source of advice - everything from restaurants to the... More

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. It has a great atmosphere, and the owner, Eric, was excellent to deal with. He is charming, interesting and relaxed, and made us feel more than welcome. We slept very well in the spacious and quiet L’Aubergine room. It has the best shower I have ever had. The free parking just a... More
