We stayed three nights in the Heavenly Suite. We arrived after 10 pm and Eric provided a friendly greeting and rice and parmesan to warm and fill us up before bed. The suite has a lovely terrace where we sat and watched the swifts over the rooftops. Eric is a real source of advice - everything from restaurants to the... More

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. It has a great atmosphere, and the owner, Eric, was excellent to deal with. He is charming, interesting and relaxed, and made us feel more than welcome. We slept very well in the spacious and quiet L’Aubergine room. It has the best shower I have ever had. The free parking just a... More

I normally do not write reviews but I felt I had to take the opportunity to rave about what a wonderful time my finance and I had at L'Aubergine Rouge. The "Heavenly Suite" and the common areas were beautiful but more importantly, the owner Eric is a generous host and an overall great guy. We felt like we made a... More

I had the most intriguing stay at L'Aubergine rouge. I slept better there than I often do at home. Quiet and perfect for the reflective time I needed in a city so rich in history, lore and an essence difficult to describe. I speak little French but found the people of Arles friendly and helpful. Despite that, as a woman... More

We stayed 5 nights in the Heavenly Suite in early October. Eric warmly welcomed us and provided us with lots of useful tips so that we could make the most of our trip. L'Aubergine Rouge is furnished with style and attention to detail. It is also located very conveniently in the old town. We find it's well worth staying there... More

We just returned from a month visit to France. We spent 5 nights in Arles at L'Aubergine Rouge. We have stayed in countless B&B's, and I have to say the hospitality provided by the owner, Eric, was the best ever! It began with our names written on the exterior entrance to the building followed by wine and appetizer to greet... More

From the moment you arrive chez Eric and Augusto you are welcomed like old friends. Their hospitality is truly boundless, but no less distinctive than their taste, with each room distinctively decorated in their own inimitable and uplifting style. And of course their hospitality extends well beyond the confines of their own charming 'hotel particulier': whatever you are seeking from... More

I spent a really special week here in July and loved every minute of it. I first contacted them when the house was still under renovation, and once I told Eric I was an old house/DIY fan, he obliged by sending photos of the work in progress! It was great to be included in the process, and wow, what a... More

L'Aubergine Rouge is a small, very quiet B&B with old, unique furniture, welcoming hosts and a lovely small terrace. This is NOT your average, big corporate hotel, but Eric and Augustos home. And it feels that way.

I had the pleasure of staying at L'Aubergine Rouge this summer, whilst visiting Les Rencontres d'Arles. Having read the reviews here and elsewhere, i was expecting something special, and i wasn't disappointed. This is a magical place, a labour of love, created with a lot of artistic flair and imagination. I was warmly welcomed with good strong coffee, delicious ice... More
