I spent 4 nights in this hotel 11th / 15th January 2015 when attending the Court of Appeal . The hotel is in the best location , situated on a pedestrainised street just 200m from the main boulevard. Rue Espariat is full of nice shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. The immediate area is very safe and orderly. The hotel was... More

Great Place to use as a walking base for Aix En Provence. Recently remodelled, our room overlooking the Plaza was quiet. Very good bed, very clean, nice other furniture. The Staff for the most part was excellent. Elias was super in helping us find a place to eat on Christmas Day. Most of the locations were closed. Really nice shower... More

The good: The room was really quiet since it wasn't facing the (very loud) street. The bed was comfortable. There was a good shower that keeps the water in the basin, a rare feat in France. The bad: We were two, but weren't given two cards by default. Many TV stations didn't work. The wifi was terrible, almost workable. There... More

In Aix on business for a few days and needed a hotel accessible to food and transportation without having a rental car. The Hotel de France fit the bill. A very simple hotel room, not too big but not a tiny room, either. I had plenty of room to breathe, the bed was comfortable, good sheets and the bath was... More

The location of this place was wonderful. It was right on a square close to the main fountain in the center of town. It was walking distance to everything. The room we had was wonderful during the day, including a balcony overlooking the square. But because the square had many restaurants and bars, it was impossible to sleep. We ended... More

Booked 7 days at this hotel to prepare for my wedding in Aix en Provence. Hotel is renovating but it doesnt disturb at all. The manager and the owner who is present are eager to make sure the customers are satisfied. Location is ideal and can't get any better in Aix. Rooms are quiet and clean. Definitely would return if... More

We stayed here on a 3 night trip to Aix. We checked in and the room was tiny, extremely small, no place to put the suitcases or even to hang clothes. The AC was not working and was a summer hot night. When we asked to the front desk they refused to change rooms. The morning after we asked to... More

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The location was perfect, off a little square with a fountain in the old town surrounded by restaurants which we surprisingly couldn't hear at night in our room which was great. bed was very comfortable. Our room was a bit smaller than we had hoped for especially the bathroom.... More

I really loved this place. We stayed here for two nights before a flight back to the US from Marseille. This hotel is right in the heart of Aix with a piazza/place right at the front steps with four cafes and one Irish pub surrounding it. It feels like the hotel would be really loud due to the location, but... More

Like many small boutique hotels in Europe, this one also has a tiny doorway, which you may miss easily in a buzzing plaza. But after I walked into their room and looked around I couldn’t help saying: wow… not bad at all… Indeed it is more than not bad at all. This is a fantastic boutique hotel. The room is... More
