I think "Les Arnauds" was our best experience during our Provence trip. It's a beautiful, old and well kept house just 5 minutes drive to Aix center. When we first saw the entrance we said that we did the best choice. It's 100% Provençal and Sheila and her daughters are always smiling and friendly! the room was excellent, much larger... More

We stayed here for three nights in June. Very old Provençal farmhouse. We had a large double room which was fine. Bathroom facilities okay. No safe. No way to lock your door. No fridge. We were, told that nothing had ever been stolen. Very quiet night's sleep. Farmhouse very old, a bit dark and a bit tatty in places, but had... More

We stayed 5 nights at Les Arnauds, and I can confidently say, we couldn't have asked for better. The owner (Sheila) has turned the family home it took 30 years to bring together, into one of the coziest, most unpretentious B&B we've ever stayed in. Make sure you pick her brains on where to go and what to do, she's... More

Les Arnauds is a bit of an oddity. Its rooms are comfortable but basic and the breakfasts are routine French with little variety day-to-day. That said the location is peaceful as one has breakfast overlooking an quiet garden and adjacent countryside; the swimming pool a delight after a hot day. Sheila Spencer is really an interesting person with a variety... More

We stayed last night at Les Arnauds, and found Sheila to be helpful and informative. The guesthouse is rustic, with all basic conveniences provided. It is an easy drive into Aix. The guesthouse is the epitome of tranquility. Breakfast was basic but delicious, her homemade fig jam so tres bon, I had to buy some to take home.

My wife & I stayed here for one night in our drive from Lyon to the French Rivera. Les Arnauds is a working farm (Olive trees, small amount of lavender, fig tree and duck and dog) with guest resident workers who are mostly student-aged (they seem to stay from 2 weeks to a couple months at a time). The B&B... More

Recommended via Alistair Sawday's special places website and was dissapointing. Big old farmhouse which was slightly run down. Pool in the midst of building works. Breakfast bread and jam only. Overall a dissapointing stay.

Just off the beaten track, Les Arnauds sits on the hills of Provence. We were greeted by the charming son of the owner who went above and beyond by helping us with restaurant reservations and taxi's. The house is cozy and we felt very comfortable coming and going with the owner being friendly but not overbearing. The breakfast was fresh,... More
