The location for this self-service no frills apart'hotel (the weekly "cleaning" is only an exchange of towels and bathmat, nothing else) is perfectly located couple of blocks from the Rotunde (and so walking distance from most major attractions and just about all bus routes), and the price was relatively reasonable for Aix-en-Provence in the "high season" (74.50 a night). I was staying in the smallest studio, which has only a pair of French doors going to the miniscule balcony. Because there is no air conditioning or cross breeze, even though the days were not unnaturally hot, the room was, and would not cool down until just before dawn. I would estimate that the room temperature was above 95 degrees for the afternoon and most of the night. This seemed to be a problem for my neighbors as well, who may have had bigger rooms.
