Our friends in Aix had booked this hotel for us. We are very pleased about our stay. Olnly 2 stars, but the hotel was so very charming in an old fashion way - no fancy bar, no key card, no relaxing room, but you have all the charm that must be from Provence. Our room (no 19) was big, clean,and... More

I had chosen the hotel based on good reviews on Tripadvisor and the proximity to the center of town. We drove to Aix-en-Provence and parked at the public garage at a convention center by Rue Carnot (only about €11 per night) and walked downhill to turn right onto Rue d'Italie; this was a pedestrian-only street. We headed down the street... More

I found this hotel on Trip Advisor and we couldn't have been more pleased. It's a great location just a short walk to Cours Maribeau. Our room was very clean and large. I loved the decor. The bathroom was newly remodeled and very big. The breakfast room is charming and the breakfast was wonderful. Typical French breakfast. Delicious. We arrived... More

I think if you book here go for the suites as others have reviewed them more favorably. My room was musty smelling and very tired and worn. The breakfast is definitely not worth the money when there are so many cafes close by. The rooms however are very clean and it's well located

I stayed at Hotel Cardinal from March 13-17 2013. I stayed in suite #28 in the annex. the room was very large and looked over a garden courtyard. I had a kitchen and a large bathroom with tub/ hand shower. It was a beautiful room only one flight up the stairs. The location is perfect, very close to Cours Mirabeau... More

We staid one night in a wonderful room, the hotel is in a XVIII century building with high ceilings and old, wooden, creaking doors. Our room had a fireplace, charming, antique furniture and television. Internally the hotel is decorated with nice paintings and carpets. Though being old, the place is kept clean and functional, our bathroom was actually recently refurnished... More

Excellent location, friendly staff, large rooms. Unique furnishings which gave it a nice feel. Very good value. Nice views from the windows. Very centrally located but on a quiet side street. Like some other hotels, for those who like to take a shower, it's difficult because there is no place to hang the showerhead.

Wonderful small hotel situated in a quiet and attractive area close to the centre. We had a suite comprising a very large bedroom (overlooking an inner courtyard) and a dining-kitchen overlooking the church square. The bedroom had a faded elegance, but was beautifully furnished with antique furniture, old wooden floor and rugs and we also had a good sized bathroom.... More

Hotel location is central and on a quiet street. Rooms are good sized and beautiful but a bit tired and worn. Walls are thin. Internet is per computer per day....in our California world once the door is open, its open, we did not understand the internet connections. Parking is not included and can be found in public parking locations several... More

A very cute hotel, extremely conveniently located - minutes from everywhere. There's an elevator which is very handy, the people at the front desk were all pleasant and helpful. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel (because it's fun to have coffee at a cafe) but the room was very pretty - shabby-elegant. Everything at the hotel was clean, ac... More
