Marie runs a charming B&B in the heart of Aix-en-Provence. There are three small rooms which are part of the family house. Our room was clean and neat with a modern bathroom with shower. The bed is in a gallery accessed by steep stairs, which makes it unsuitable for some people. The house has a private garden, and guests are... More

The hospitality was fantastic. The B and B had an outside courtyard garden to sit in as we'll as a living room. The breakfast was a great time to get advice from the hosts on where to go and where to eat. Our room had the bed in a loft with a sitting area and big bathroom downstairs which worked... More

Our studio room was small and the sleeping quarters on the mezzanine claustrophobic. The Studio was hot with no air conditioning but had only two Fans.We were amazed that we had to make our own beds every morning. The place is very well situated and the garden a breath of fresh air.

Great central location. Comfortable and clean split level room, with big shutters so you can have a lie in! Breakfast room and garden is shared with the family and is therefore off limits for parts of the day and evening. We were hoping to spend some time in the garden but didn't as felt it wouldn't be very relaxing as... More

We stayed for 5 nights at Le Jardin de Marie and would recommend it highly! It was easy to find from the main bus station and 5 mins walk from the main Place de Gaulle roundabout. Our room (La Lavande) was delightful and made brilliant use of space - tall and narrow with the bed on a mezzanine via some... More

The Bed and and breakfast is located in the Quartier Mazarin, laid out in a grid-pattern in the 1650's and directly south of the Cour Mirabeau and the old city. We were here in the heat of the high summer and the spacious garden was a godsend. Behind a four-story house begun in the 17th century and still the home... More

Three of us, ladies of a certain age who had been to school together 40 years earlier, met for a reunion in Aix due to a fourth compatriot being there (in a hotel) for a conference. We loved the Jardin de Marie for its quirkiness. The staff member who let us in tried to cram two of us into a... More

What a lovely place......with a beautiful garden although the wind & rain deterred us from using it! Situated very close to the Cour Mirabeau....ideal for exploring the old town. We stayed in "la lavande" a room on the ground floor. Not a large room but with a mezzanine level, quirky & tastefully decorated. Access is allowed to the downstairs living... More
