We stayed at La Pauline for 3 nights in June. The grounds, room and breakfast are all beautiful and quintessential French countryside - exactly what we were dreaming of! That said, La Pauline lacks the welcoming, "feels like home" touch that you would expect in a B&B. Don't expect a big welcome or much attention from staff other than bare... More

We were extremely pleased that we chose La Pauline as our base for a 5 day visit to Aix. The biggest issue we had was that we spent so much time enjoying the atmosphere and surroundings of La Pauline that we did not have enough time to check out all the sights in and around Aix. I will not forget... More

Our last trip to Aix included a one night stay at the magical mansion built for napoleon's sister as a romantic tryst, as so it was for my femme and moi. This is a grand love-shack extraordinaire with our room having a splendid terrace to stretch our fatigued carcasses upon, with suitable attire-of-course. ......Towelling robes and large sunnies ,as expected. Its... More

This place is amazing. I am so glad that we chose to stay outside of Aix-en-Provence instead of inside the city. This place epitomizes what Provence is all about. There are groves of olive trees. There are wonderfully manicured hedges and yards. There is a garden. There is a petanque court. The pool is beautiful with chairs for lounging. The... More

Can't imagine a better experience for an elegant, idyllic French countryside retreat with all of the details... crisp, clean, white linens, fresh flowers waiting in your room, huge, modern, marble bathrooms, and large, stunning grounds filled with flowers and perfect grassy lawns, secret gardens around every corner. Steeped in tradition, (it was once Napoleon's sister's estate) La Pauline is lovingly... More

La Pauline exceeded my expectations and is one of my favorites after traveling in France and Italy since 1998. Sylvia was wonderful and a joy. The location and grounds are beyond beautiful and will remember my 2 night stay fondly.

If you are travelling by car and love nature this hotel is an absolute must. A country style hotel with expansive and beautiful gardens and a perfect pool. It is only 8 minutes from town center, and after these 8 minutes you feel like you've arrived your country mansion. Rooms (total 5) are stylish but not too spacey. Each has... More

A very good friend of my suggested La Pauline to my husband and I for our stay in Aix-En-Provence, and it was such a high light of our trip. La Pauline was quite easy to get to about 10mins from centre of Aix, as soon as we arrived and the beautiful iron gates opened my husband and I were wowed,... More

I visited La Pauline in June with my best friend (we are both 20). It was our last and ABSOLUTE FAVORITE place we visited after spending 6 months travelling in Europe and seeing 8 different countries! When we pulled up to the beautiful gates and saw the gorgeous property that awaited us, we thought we were in a dream! Everything... More

This is one place I will cherish for the rest of my days, truly amazing experience. The entrance gives you the most breathtaking welcome you could ever imagine, like a palace of sorts. Our host was incredibly friendly, charming, and informative, making our stay that much better. The rooms are wonderful! Simple yet cozy, and perfectly clean. Bathrooms were generous... More
