Although the hotel is rated 2-star, it has all amenities I needed for a 4-day business trip, including a 3 min walk to one of the best-kept secret restaurants for true provençal cooking! Service excellent, 24-hr reception, clean and simple fully-equipped room (one drawback - all TV stations only in French).. Next time in Aix - next time in La... More

Excellent 2 star hotel staff.Very friendly, helpful and willing to go an extra mile to serve well. The hotel itself serves a good breakfast all you can eat. If the management can be more attentive to small details such as the quality of the towels and the channel selection at the cable TV. No English or other foreigner language.

Got a twin room with street frontage but bed was too small for me - I am 6 foot and my feet were hanging over the edge - and the room was noisy. Upgraded to a room facing the court yard with a double bed which cost us another 30 euro per night. Breakfast wasn't great and definitely not worth... More

Probably the friendliest staff I experienced at any of the hotels I stayed at in my two weeks in France for December. Very helpful and welcoming and provided information on some places to visit. Hotel is very close to the Cours Mirabeau street (literally a five or so minute walk around the corner). The room was clean and had a... More

A goregous little Hotel with extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Florence and all staff (especially the owners) made me feel very welcome from the moment I checked in. The Hotel is 'just around the corner' from great restaurants, cafes/bars, patisseries, boulangeries, chocolatiers and other fabulous shops. The Hotel is also very close to the city's 2 fine art museums and... More

The hotel is on the edge of the pedestrian area in central Aix, so is well positioned for walking into the centre, with no shortage of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The 'Parking Carnot' car park under the congress centre is a stone's throw away, and you can pull up in front of the hotel to unload. Our first impression... More

What a great little place! Me and my husband stumbled across this hotel when looking for last minute accommodation in Aix. Firstly, I wouldn't recommend looking for 'last-minute' accommodation in Aix because everywhere was pretty much full, but we were very lucky to find Hotel Caravelle. The hotel is clean and tidy - a little noisy if you have a... More

Great little hotel right on the edge of the old town. Typical older french hotel features... dark stairs, creaky slow elevator, noisy unless you close everything up tight. Room was pretty big. Bed comfortable, shower small but plenty of hot water. Did not need AC but looked as if might not work. Beware hot weather. Staff unfailingly friendly and helpful.... More

We arranged this hotel through booking.com and were to stay for a week. This hotel is very close to the old city of Aix-en Provence and was the perfect location for twice daily walks to various parts of the city. The rooms are plain but clean and comfortable, the linen changed and the room cleaned daily and although some don't... More

Traveling by train has been anything but easy or pleasant this week, but the cheerful, helpfull staff at LaCaravelle, soothed some of the stress. The hotel is cheerful with lovely decorator touches in all the public areas. Breakfast was a good value with variety and attentive service. The room was clean and comfortable. I would not stay anywhere else in... More
