Hotel des Augustins is located only 20m off Cours Mirabeau with immediate access to the maze of pedestrian only streets lined with boutique shops of all descriptions. Aix has a beautiful city centre and Augustins is right in it. One consequence of this is that there is no hotel parking with the nearest underground public parking at Rotonde a few... More

I may have recovered from my jet lag but it is unlikely that I will forget what a lovely hotel I stayed in while visiting Aix-en-Provence for 10 days with my friend Julie. You cannot go wrong staying at the Hôtel des Augustins because the location alone makes it worth it. Located on a narrow side street just steps from... More

I recently stayed at Hotel des Augustins and although the single room was small it was comfortable and had everything I needed. Overall the location and staff made the visit wonderful. The staff were so very, very helpful and the Hotel is situated perfectly. I would recommend this as a centrally located and friendly hotel and look forward to returning... More

Well located within walking distance of everything: restaurants, shops, la Cours Mirabeau ...oooo la la!!! Our room overlooked the quaint cobblestone street with minimal traffic....very beautiful! Parking was a hit of a challenge as it is not located on or very near the site...but the walk was well worth it and luggage can be dropped off at the door before... More

Our three-night stay in Aix followed a weeklong hiking tour in Provence. The hotel was recommended by the tour company, "The Wayfarers." The building incorporates the remnants of a 15th-century convent, with some of the original structure still featured. The rooms are average, but comfortable. Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, and the location is perfect: A few... More

Spent two nights at the Hotel des Augustins in October, staying in one of their top category rooms, a Deluxe. We were disappointed. The room was of a good size and had a very large private terrace, which we made use of (once we worked out how to unlock and lock the doors). But – incredibly – this room did... More

Loved being right in the centre of aix. Hotel full of interest, sweeping stone staircase, stained glass windows, grand furnishings. Breakfast room grand place to enjoy choosing from the buffet. Staff friendly. Good place to stay.

booked this hotel for based on reviews from trip advisor. The location was wonderful between shops and restaurants. The lobby was grand and beatiful, however the room was quite a let down. Decor was old but ok, the shower was dirty and needed updating. The shower head would slide slowly down while trying to shower. Only one outlet worked to... More

This is a beautiful hotel of historical significance. It is in a great location, just off the Main Street in Aix. You can walk to shops and restaurants. The Saturday market is fabulous. A delicious breakfast is served daily.

We stayed at Hotel des Augustins for 5 days in October 2014. The location couldn't have been better. We could easily walk through the old town and were also only steps from Cours Mirabeau. Our family had two rooms and both were lovely. We really liked the stone arches in the lobby area. The staff was great and were very... More
