We stayed at Augustins at short notice whilst en route to Monte Carlo and had an amazing experience. The staff were brilliant and could not do enough to assist throughout our short stay. The building was outstanding and located in the heart of Aix en Provence. A five star experience *****, thank you.

A charming hotel just a block off the Cours Mirabeau in the old part of the city. The location is very convenient for walking around the old city and is also an easy walk to the bus and train stations. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful with directions and restaurant reservations. The comfort room was simple, clean,... More

The location of this hotel is amazing. It is convenient to everything, including many wonderful restaurants. The staff at the front desk go out of the way to help you, including booking travel arrangements, printing documents and giving advice. The breakfast is merely adequate, although the room in which breakfast is served is a delight. Okay, the rooms are a... More

This is a good hotel - very good location, nice atmosphere, good helpful staff. It was a special occasion so we upgraded to a top grade room with a private terrace. No complaints about the room itself, but the terrace was pathetic. The view was scruffy, the plants - except the weeds - were dead or dying, and the large... More

We stayed for 6 nights. The cost per night was 249 Euros.. not cheap. We arrive hot and tired after a long journey.I thought the sinks in our room were old and although they looked grimy were probably clean.I was wrong. After two days of using the sinks I used my nail to scrape away the scum marks and was horrified to... More

This hotel was a very nice surprise. It's well located, breakfast was excellent and the staff was simply one of the best I've ever met, specially Michel. All the staff member were very polite and helpful. The only complain was the wifi, free but horrible, slow like a snail on strike !

We walked in after dinner in a charming part of Aix-en-Provence. Very attractive lobby, very pleasant person behind the desk. Rates were very attractive, and should we return to Aix will no doubt stay there. Within a minute or two of literally dozens of great eating establishments.

To be fair, the hotel is conveniently located in the centre of the older part of Aix and it has an arresting lobby. The staff are charming and speak English well. Our room was quiet, both in respect of street noise, the neighbouring room and the corridor. The bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning was efficient and quiet. The wi-fi in... More

A lovely old building right in the centre of old Aix, with a little more care this Hotel would rate very good. The reception staff were welcoming and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was good and the bed comfortable. But ... the "superior room" was quite small and had numerous minor faults that should have been fixed routinely. Examples: broken... More

This hotel is a few steps off the Cours Mirabeau, in a restored Medieval monastery. The setting is all charm, the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is supremely convenient - an easy walk to the tourist center, the taxi ranks, the tempting variety of good restaurants and shops along the Cours. We came back a year later... More
