Aix means water, it is the city of fountains, however, as it is not on the river or the coast it is hot and so busy. Le Pigonnet is about 10 minutes walk from the big fountain near the tourist office. It is a traditonally French hotel, sophisticated in a beautiful setting. I loved Hotel Le Pigonnet, the hotel is set in the most magnificent gardens and located a medium walk to the town. The rooms were spacious and clean with a pleasant outlook over the gardens.
