One of the very-top hotels of Provence. Calm, luxury and secular garden in the very heart of Aix en Provence. Highly professional staff, apparently trained to manage demanding and exclusive customers. Still, no overplayed attitudes as in some other 5* hotels. Simply helpful, polite, smiling and highly professional staff. The garden is stunning, especially in spring/early summer. Beautiful pool, great... More

I had booked this 5 star hotel to enjoy the picturesque city before embarking on a weeklong horseback riding trip of Provence. I was thoroughly disappointed. Upon arrival at the TGV station a car was waiting for me which was a cab and not a car service nor from the hotel greeted me. This was a bit of a shock... More

I had occasions to stay at Hotel Le Pigonnet recently. The hotel is beautiful, in a lush garden settling. The restaurant is worthy of a Michelin star. Finally, the staff are attentive and go well above and beyond the call of duty.

We arrived on a Saturday after leaving Lyon in the morning. Our room had recently been "redone" but all the rooms on our floor had not and so there were workmen and the scent of fresh paint about. The room itself was very nice although not terribly large; it did, however, have a nice view overlooking the lovely gardens. When... More

Dear Patricia, We would like to thank you for helping us improve the quality of our Hotel and we are genuinely sorry to hear about your disappointment, particularly regarding the employee’s attitude. We have indeed just renovated 14 rooms however the last room was finished mid-April which is why I am surprised to hear that you smelled fresh paint. We... More

We visited Aix du Province and found this great hotel. Well located and wonderful staff. We were waiting for the shuttle to take us to town.... 10 minute walk and the great young lady, Susan, who worked behind the desk took us

Beautiful hotel, stunning grounds, the most comfortable beds! So why only a 3 rating? Two days prior to arriving we had phoned to confirm that there was space available in the restaurant for our small group and did we need to book a time to eat. We were told that there are always tables available for guests staying at the... More

This was our first stay in Provence, and we were so happy with a fantastic room with a jacuzzi, modern shower (rain shower & hand wand) sitting room with large TV, and small office/desk, all leading to an enormous terrace. Meals were excellent with measured service. Our sommelier, Aurielan who also came to our room to fix our large TV... More

The stay was good and convenient. The best part is the location and the garden. Good place to relax. The rooms are small. The bathroom too is small. A really fat person would have definitely struggled to fit in. This looked unusual to me. But anyway, for a week trip, all I needed was a calm place to sleep and... More

We stayed here in May. The weather was great so we were able to relax & enjoy the gardens after trips to Aix & Arles. The staff are very helpful. We loved eating outside. The barman was enthusiastic and made the outside bar. Unfortunately the hotel had conferences on so we couldn't eat there on our last night or lunch.... More
