We spent two nights at this hotel. It's near the highway so is a good location if you want to use it as base for exploring the area. Parking is free and there are a lot of spaces. The room was clean but kind of small (normal for Ibis hotels). The staff was friendly and gave us valid information on... More

We stayed 4 nights at the Ibis Aix-en-Provence as a base to explore the Provence region back in November 2013. Besides the positive reviews on Trip-Advisor we chose this hotel because of the free parking and the price (we booked last minute so the other alternatives were much more expensive). We had a car so the non-central location of the... More

Stayed here one night on my way to www.trans-provence.com. Good value, good food and nice secluded pool. Secure parking. Friendly staff. Typical chain hotel dining but good food. Very clean, modern, well kept. Too far to walk to town though which is a shame as I never saw Aix...

Arrived to find chaos as the local water supply had been cut off - feared the worst. However this turned out to be a great stopover: the outdoor pool had plenty of water and no guests using it - very nice swim to cool off and freshen up the restaurant menu was appetising and the terrace outside picked up the... Hotel was clean but has very small rooms. The staff was friendly and the location is ok. Beware the motorway is just a couple meters away from your room. So it is very noisy. I only booked because they had a promotion , otherwise I'd recommend to stay in the centre of Aix.

The hotel web site says: "The hotel offers 124 air-conditioned rooms" (I just checked on October 27th and it is still there), so we made a reservation on this uncommonly hot day in early october, confident that we would find a comfortable room to sleep despite the warm weather. SURPRISE! the air-conditioning was not working. No problem, let's call front... More

Stayed for 3 nights in September. Previous TA information was all correct. Hotel is across the highway from town but exceptionally quiet. Bus stop is outside the hotel and a cheap, reliable and convenient way to get into town and parking in town can be difficult. Staff were very accommodating and the breakfast and dinners were very good. Room was... More

Plain but efficient no frills hotel for independent travellers. Located just outside the city, adjacent to the motorway, but just a short walk from the city centre. No fridge. No Eurosport. Restaurant is ok if you want to save the time of visiting a restaurant, and cheaper than most of those in the centre of Aix.

IBIS might be a solution then with its big free parking. Though IBIS is situated near the Auto route, rooms with view to the pool are quiet. As to the pool, do not count on using it in October: it will not be heated and might even already be covered for a long winter sleep, whereas outside still nice temperatures... More
