- Accor Poitiers Centre

When travelling South from Calais to Bordeaux my wife and I decided to break up our trip and pull into Poitiers. It was late evening and we just wanted a place to stay and a place to eat.
We googled Poitiers and found the Ibis Poitiers Centre. It was not difficult to find, with the aid of a Tom Tom,...

This hotel, situated in the heart of Poitiers, was difficult for our Cosmos motor coach to get to because of all the construction in the area. The streets are very narrow and add construction, it was difficult to get around even on foot. That aside, my room was clean but extremely small. I practically stood in the bedroom when I...

Friendly reception staff and parking under the hotel. Usual refurbished Ibis room with dark laminate flooring and strange built in furniture. Not a place to linger, but cheap and clean.Lots of restaurants nearby and in Cafe Magenta we had one of our best meals in France. I would stopover here again.
The hotel is right in the city center (unfortunately under construction as of April 2012), within walking distance of all the main attractions the city has to offer, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from, too.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the private parking lot was already full when I checked in so I...

Hotel bang in the centre of Poitiers. Has own private parking but spaces are limited - arrive before 4pm to guarantee a space. Ask for a room overlooking the car park to avoid street noise. Perfectly good hotel - I didn't bother with breakfast because there asre a lot of coffee shops nearby.
The staff on arrival and departure were very courteous and generous about information we asked. Something you sometimes don't find in French hotels and restaurants. The rooms were super clean and the hotel rules about silence and quietness to allow others to sleep well were well respected.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Secure parking. Room as one would expect for an Ibis. Some very good restaurants just around the corner for evening meals. Handy for a stroll around center afterwards.
Not always guaranteed in France! room was relatively spacious for an Ibis. The free WiFi cinched it for me! The location was also very good, just off the main square where Hotel de Ville is. Walking distance to restaurants and most sights.
