Great location just a few minutes walk from the Old Harbour. There was private parking and the staff were friendly enough but the hotel and the rooms were a bit dated. There was a lot of black mould in the bathroom but the room was a good size and it was comfortable enough for one night.

On the whole, Hotel Rianon is really well priced and in a great location. Our room was a good size, the bathroom was clean enough and the air con was fantastic. Yes, it was very noisy (so take your ear plugs), it is in great need of some tlc and it could do with a deep clean. On the plus... More

Spacious hotel from a bygone era, jaded round the edges. However clean room and very comfortable bed and pillows. The owner made us feel welcome. Our room had aircon which was a necessity in the heat of our stay. Also a car park, although it turns out there is public parking immediately at the side of the hotel along the... More

The Hotel Trianon & La Plage is a good location but very basic rooms. The hotel does not have an elevator. Since we were there only for one night we left everything on the bus except for our PJ's, cosmetic bag and change for the next day since our room was on the 3rd floor. They serve a nice Continental... More

The Trianon is a typical French hotel with elements of grandeur from former days. It is well run and gives individual attention - including a served breakfast. The rooms are large and clean. Getting a little tired but for the price, very acceptable. Staff are helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is typically French (Croissant, Brioche, Bread, Jams, Juice, Coffee and Fruit... More

Booked the hotel via trivago about a month before the trip expected to pay 65 euros but the bill came to almost double that. The hotel is central but basic, car park came to 9.50 euros. Next night we stayed in Royan, hotel bill was the quoted price and much nicer.

Perfectly located for a night or two next to the old port and a two minute walk from the best restaurants. Comfortable (air con in rooms) and quiet with free parking in small car park to rear of hotel. Manager was welcoming and friendly. The room and hotel were a little tired but perfectly adequate for us.

We stayed 2 nights at the Trianon. The hotel is a little dated but certainly has character and an 'Olde Worlde' charm about it. The Owner/Manager was very helpful and speaks good English. The hotel is in a great location, being very close to the old town. Our room was looking very tired and badly in need of some modernisation... More

Visited for a town/coastal break. The perfect location, arrived parked the car and never touched it again until our return a few days later. Whether to the old port with its multitude of restaurants and then into the old town or down to the beach, everything is within a few minutes walking distance. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful,... More

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel in August 2013. The hotel is very close to both the old town of La Rochelle and the beach. The staff were extremely friendly and most helpful, especially the manager who providing advice on the area and a map of the town. A good secure car park meant that hubby was content that the...
