This hotel is a great location to stay in La Rochelle . In the centre put not so busy with traffic , set in a lane way and surrounded by fabulous restaurants and nice bars. The rooms are a bit small but it has a really nice feel about the hotel , it comes with breakfast and is not expensive... More

Nice building next to the old harbour. Good to stay, but parking is not easy. We were lucky to get a spot next to the hotel, but then the parking garage ticket we accidentally bought was non-returnable. Our room was tiny, although characterful, with a large wooden beam running through. Shower had little pressure, but was hot. Bed was very... More

We stayed in this hotel only for one night, but it was a good experience. The staff speaks well in English, and the rooms and the breakfast were very pleasing. They offer a parking spot quite far from the hotel, but it wasn't a bother for us. The location is very good, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants... More

Working in hotels in the UK, I am more than aware that most people are quick to write poor reviews and pick on the smallest of problems but very rarely review when they have a good or perfectly adequate experience and I think this hotel is being given a hard time. We have just spent one night and I have... More

We stayed for 1 night and found the hotel very disappointing. The room was really small, two of us with 2 bags couldn't quite move around the room! Also the bed and the bathroom were all below any standard or expectation. No lift in the hotel, so we had to carry our bags up the stairs. When arriving we contacted... More

I had been to that hotel years ago... It has been completely renovated and is now a member of a chain (I'm not fond of them)... At first, we thought the place looked rather cold and was overpriced... Only one hour after we arrived, the fire alarm went off and nobody seemed to bother (including other clients), which I found... More

Nice looking picture of hotel on its website attracted us, but have to say it doesn't live up to first expectations. Location of hotel is good and within walking distance of the old port and all there is to see there. However, rooms are pretty basic and rather small, although bed was comfortable and room clean. Air con in the... More

Very nice location for this hotel, very near the nice harbor of the city. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is very clean. What is really fantastic over there is de bike storage. A place especially foreseen for the bikes and that s been proposed by de desk when we did the reservation. Nothing is more difficult than... More

La Rochelle is an expensive town to stay in and Hotel de Bordeaux offered quite basic accommodation for around EUR 75 per night. The front reception staff were friendly and helpful but we were checked into a TINY room right at the top of the main flight of stairs between the cleaners' cupboards. The cleaners started work at around 8am... More
